Great article. :thumb: Posters here hate it when facts are thrown in their face. Facts are usually not enough for the delusional. :mj07: I will continue to get a kick out of their replies.
To those who might have been too lazy to open the link and read the article. Here are the bullet points and do yourself a favor and educate yourself on the Pac 10. Stop looking silly by promoting other conf. being vastly superior.
*Since the turn of the century, the Pac-10 has been the best conference during college football's four biggest games - the Fiesta, Orange, Rose and Sugar bowls.
*The Pac-10 has gone 6-1 in those four BCS games, with the only loss coming in the 2003 Rose Bowl when Oklahoma handled Washington State 34-14. (BTW, the WSU starting QB was severely injured)
*But get this: The six BCS wins - three from USC, and one each from Washington, Oregon State and Oregon - have been by a combined 234-99. That's an average score of 39-16.5.
*Moreover, the league has sent half of its teams to a BCS game in the past five years, a higher percentage than any other conference.
*The Pac-10 team has scored at least 28 points in each of its BCS victories in the past five years, and look no further than the league's passing prowess for explanation.
Quote from Mike Stoops.........
"There are very innovated offenses," he said of the Pac-10. "The quarterback play was shocking to me. The ability to throw the ball down the field ... I never saw that really until we came here."
