"the bunker"
palmeiro is a hypocrite....and his hof credentials need to be seriously examined...imo....

bush is just trying to support a friend....even though it`s not the smartest idea..he should have stayed out of it....

djv...as a good democrat i think you know.......rove is innocent until proven guilty....

that standard should stand for all...including those that differ with your particular ideology...

if he`s broken the law,he goes...and deservedly so....

of course,i doubt that rove leaving changes anybody`s life...

GW I agree about Karl. What he should do is give Bush a break and leave on his own. Where theirs smoke about 95% of the time theres is fire. This simple case has taken 10 months longer to deal with then Watergate. And there is still no out come. Would stone walling be a good term to use. As for Rafael Bush may be better off saying nothing. I'm sure Congress won't have him put in jail. But ling to congress can get you big trouble.

Anybody surprised that Barry Bonds is now going to take the year off? If he hasn't spent this year trying to get rid of his obvious steroid stigma, I would be shocked. Doubt if anybody feels it will affect his HOF pursuit. Doubt if many actually believe he never used steroids.

I think that eventually everything in Jose the rat's book will be proven true - even the accusations that Ranger ownership (Bush) knew about the use back then. Hell, his old coke supplier was probably the hookup

Bonds is no surprise. I think he should honor the game that gave him so much by retiring now. The curse of Babe was lifted off the Sox and dropped on Barry. He should stay behind Ruth.

Ferd believe your right taking year off. Sounds like some of this stuff can take 12 to 14 months to get out of your body. And if not active there is no testing. Someone forgot to tell Rafael what Bonds seems to know.

I believe usage is much much much higher than any of us want to know or believe . Canseco's book is unfortunately probably accurate . I believe this because he goes into great detail and he could have made just as much money withoput so much detail .

This thread is probably the poorest attempt in history to smear our president. DJV, this was your point right? Palmiero tests positive for steroids so let's start a new thread slamming Bush?? unreal....what will they think of next?? :mj07:

Nice agenda you democrats have. Real patriotic. Nice political party. You crybaby loser democrats are bankrupt on values, goals, plans, and ideas so you desperately do whatever you can to act like crybaby sore losers and attack the president ON A DAILY BASIS. Nice political party. The radical left has highjacked the whole party and I think it's GREAT!! . No wonder you guys can't win elections anymore. You're a bunch of whiners and fingerpointers. This thread is a perfect example!!

KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jose says Bush knew (essentially). Bush already backed up Raffy. So it's relevant, Chucky.

But I guess you got no problem with the outlandish ways in which DTB finds to drag Clinton into every topic?

You are right though, we are very patriotic. This greatest nation on the planet is worthy of great leadership. As patriots we are massivley dissappointed that the country does not have what it deserves. We feel it's worth the struggle to challenge the leadership and make it better.

You should join our fight, Charles. As I said before, you would make a fine soldier. ....But the Kosar said you'd be fragged. ....So I guess we'll just have to keep you 2 separated until you warm up to each other.

So the thread topic is steroids and I am asked to join the military?? Wow you liberals are all over the map aren't you? lol

Murph....I am begging you to explain that last post.....all you liberals do is complain and obstruct. America voted and Bush won but you liberals do not respect it. You try to undermine every single damn thing that this president tries to get done. THAT ISNT PATRIOTISM it's called BEEING POOR LOSERS and you know it!

To quote you......What have you liberals done to "challenge the leadership and make it better"???? Any examples?

For starters, you are grouping everyone critical of Dubya into one category. We are comprised of everyone. Some are liberals, some are centrists, some are very disgruntled conservatives

I for one don't mention anything about either election. Over and done with. I don't care about appointees. AR made a good statement about how Bush has every right to appoint who he wants as president.

I will not however, let empty rhetoric and bad strategy jeopardize this country without calling it out. I hope we can learn from the Iraq experience and do things right in the future. Part of that process is identifying what has gone wrong and being HONEST with the people. "Final throes" and "mission accomplished" is far from honest. Bogus stats about casualties doesn't help either.

I support someone like McCain willing to compromise on the filibuster issue. I think that and democrats willing to compromise is progress.

One step you could make to help is drop the "liberal" name calling on everyone. ...Definitely keep the the smileys and font variations though. Above all, stay golden.

I'm sure Bush personally dumped Holloway into the landfill. He and his brother have had significant ties with Dutch Indies judges for decades. Where do you think they get the coke transported from?

Where does anyone "blame" Bush for Raffy? I think it's more that we kind of laugh at the semi-relationship there. You know back in Dubya's Ranger days he had some knowledge of those guys juicing. It's quite obvious. Very naive to think otherwise.

Does it really matter in the big picture? No.

And none of the other owners suspected that any of their players were using steroids? Come on, it wasn't Bush's place to get involved with steroid use when he owned the Rangers. Was it illegal then? Of course, I think he would be doing himself a favor bu not commenting on this situation.

I agree. There are plenty of reasons to bash W, but 'maybe' knowing about steroids as the Rangers owner isn't one of them.
