having said that, i do agree that baerga in the cleanup spot was a sure sign the nats were done.
i had a flashback to ten years ago when baerga was one of the best hitters in baseball and setting the table with regularity for belle. problem is.... his career was done 5 years ago. amazing the guy still has a job in the big leagues.

i do remember carlos when he was a stud with the indians,300 hitter ,100 plus ribbies,when he came to the mets he could not break double figures in home runs and never hit 300.
believe it or not this guy is only 36
