You need a center fielder, right fielder, catcher, second baseman, and a shortstop(Nomar is ass).

PS, you can take pitches too. A good coach wouldn't instruct you to swing at any pitch near the zone. CUBS do NOT under any circumstances EVER work the count.

And yes, I've got a nice future on W. Sox to win their division. The thing with the Sox is win or lose they attempt to play the game right. Little things. Compared to Dusty Baker, Ozzie Guillen is a member of MENSA.

Cubs who were a horrible team fundamentally and on the basepaths last year are still a horrbile team fundamentally this year. In a game against Philly last week, 3 Cubs pitchers failed to cover first base. In the same game! Baker catching a lot of the heat and deservedly so. This club shows no heart, no passion and no desire to win. This was the same thing that happened last year but not until late September.

I think BBC and even the forum's Cubs fans will back me on this one.

They continue to slide down, down, down.

Then they may (as in the past) end the season closing much stronger than they look now. There will be a player or two brought up, and possibly another player or two taking off in the absence of any pressure to perform. Then the season ending STANDARD of "Cubby Hope" will rise from the ashes. They will be given the needed reasons to believe.

Don't pound $$ against them for the entire finish of the season.

It's the same ol same ol with this team and it's fans.

BTW

They NEVER had any pen (amongst various other problems), even in the spring league. Season was dead in the water before it started.

I do like when the Cubs win as it puts some electricity into the city, but I am enjoying these last couple of weeks. Can't believe I got the Cubs under 89.5 wins (and that was after Wood's injury (. . . the first one (lol)).
