Cisco, maybe you can add some encouragement or advice on this since you play somewhat of a chase system...

Does anyone think the Royals will win anytime soon? I have this chase system I am entwined in with this team...they have the Mariners for 3, and you would think they would be able to win ONE of those right? But then you have to rethink, this team has lost 15 straight games, why not 3 more?!!! :scared

Then, they play the Athletics, Yankees, Redsox in a row! As deep as I am in with this session of the system, I feel that if I back down now, it will definitely mess up the whole reason of doing this system. Any advice or insight into losing streaks of this length and what the longest on record is? I could easily see this team losing 3 more, and then being at 18 straight going into those 3 tough series. :scared

No, I can't help you with that. I don't like betting on bad teams. I like to bet against teams playing below .470. That's what they do best..Lose.

Baltimore lost 22 straight one time in the 90's.

Which MLB team holds the record for the longest losing streak?

A: Since 1900, the team with the longest losing streak in baseball was the Philadelphia Phillies, who lost 23 consecutive games from July 26 to August 20 in 1961.

The longest winning streaks in the major leagues since 1900:
Year Team League Wins
1916 NYG NL 26*
1935 ChC NL 21
2002 Oak. AL 20
1906 ChW AL 19*
1947 NYY AL 19
* Had a tie game during their winning streak
