Bahama or anyone...

what's with the uniforms this year. They suck. They are really bad. Half the teams are wearing t-shirts with logos on them. I don't remember that growing up or in the previous years.

If it's because the cost has gotten so high for the parents, I completely understand and retract the statement. But if its some kind of new trend, where kids can get away with t-shirts it looks kind of lame. I mean, little league w.s. is such a tradition and all, at least make the kids dress presentable.

just a thought

the variations are unreal, aren't the BDB... i noticed the same thing.... some teams in BEAUTIES, and other in Tees.

about all i can tell you is that the kids have to supply their own uniforms, and some kids come from much poorer districts than others.... the shirts and hats for all-star teams are at their own expense (and they take what they can get from donations, so SUPPORT your local teams to help them look good on TV :) ) Once they make it to Williamsport, they are supplied with LLWS hats for their specific district, but i don't think it will help the variation in uniforms :(

NWLL comes from a lower to middle class neighborhood in Davenport, but they sure have nice (washable) uniforms for their boys (they are turned back in at the end of each season tho) :(

we wore t-shirts when i was growing up, but i am from a pretty small town.

we had actual uniforms when we made an elite team, though.
