Well, the home mortgage is payed off and that Christmas vacation to Europe is going to happen this year. Thank you Royals for allowing this to happen as you guys are pathetic. They are so pathetic, they didn't even have a Damon, Beltran, Dye, etc that any other team was much interested in this year.
After the Royals got into a double digit losing streak, I decided to challenge myself (or is that mentally challenged?) to trying to pick when the Royals would break the streak. Beautiful, bragging rights around town that I picked the game AND put money on it. Whatever, my mind must be going??
I passed 5 times now, even with yesterdays DH. Tonight is the night. Everyone here can give me 20 reasons to take Seattle to every one I can muster.
Bear with me, I'm going on memory when I throw out stats as I don't want to go back and look them up.
We're talking 3 streaks that need to be broken:
15 losses in a row, 7 road losses in a row, and 0-8 on Monday night. :scared
They face the kid wonder, Felix Hernandez, 19 yrs old and 1 earned run in 13 innings! :scared You think I'm scared, just think about how scared Felix is right now. The pressure to not allow the Royals to end this streak.
But there has been an Elvys sighting and he will be in the building tonight. I'm talking about Runelvys Hernandez. The guy is like 1-5 with some terrible era at night on the road. Throw that stat out the window. Elvys has been respectable lately going 3-1 L6 games. He had a minor hiccup last outing, last 1 inning and giving up only 7 runs. But he had a fight with his wife before the game, the water heater flooded their basement, and a couple of things - I've imagined.
With 6/7 days rest due to the rainouts, his arm will be strong and keep th Royals pathetic BP to limited action and keep Seattle's losing streak of 4 going - all home losses I might add.
The last topper is Elvys owns the Mariners, going 7 innings last outing, giving up 1 run in a 5-1 Royal victory. Did I say Royal victory? I can't remember hearing that.
1 unit, hoping for some umpire help: 300/558.
That's about all the crap I can come up with for now. But I do see Wareagle knows his baseball too taking the Royals, making me feel better about the play.
Good luck!
