Rumors rampant it is a big name. That would be big. I tend to think IF true that it would ahve to be "remnants" of past use. I just cant imagine a guy like him dumb enough to use while testing.

How else can you explain his physical condition at his age?

His "amazing" off-season workout people always rave about? Yeah right.

He has gone more than 7 innings once all year. He is muscular but also fat. His velocity continues to go down - he is simply spotting the ball better than ever and getting great splitter movement. I dont really doubt it could be true, but it is also hard to see the correlation to his performance.

Regarding pitchers I really don't see an advantage to taking steroids velocity wise. I think it comes in moreso when you look at muscle recovery, etc.

I've always liked Clemens so I hope it's not true. But if it was I wouldn't be surprised.

If it is true.........wouldnt it be ironic how the bad the Orioles played before the announcement came

and now

it seems the Astros are slumping........maybe the players really do know something the public does'nt

steroids definitely can help pitchers...not all of them are for muscle nuilding, but for muscle healing..thus a 40 year can pitch every 5 days

Me too! When I was out in CA I saw him pitch against the Angels (he was w/ yanks still) and our seats were in the outfield by the bullpen / warm up area. Seeing him in person, I couldn't get over the shape this guy was in. Fvcking huge for a pitcher.

This is the only place that I have found any mention of this rumor. Curious about how soon it will "hit the major airways".

I heard the same s#it about Giambi, right after Palmeiro got caught. So far nothing has happened. Although I would not be suprised if Rumor about Clemens is true. But would he really be so stupid ????

"Would he really be so stupid?"

This is the same guy who picked up a broken baseball bat, threw it at Mike Piazza, and his explaination was that he thought it was the ball.
