5-4-1 (-0.26)

Green Bay @ Buffalo under 37

Jumping on this one now, as it will surely drop.
Take out Favre (who stayed playing until he scored!), O'Sullivan and Rodgers combined for 6/14 for 31 yards, and the running game produced 79 yards @ 2.9 ypc.
The Buffalo defense has already dominated GB in a scrimmage, so I don't see any reason how GB could suddenly find some points in this one. (are 0-5 under since the start of last pre-season too.)

Obviously GB's D is a worry, but Lossman is likely to get the majority of the snaps again, so I'm not expecting much to go downfield.
The Bills' offense managed just 17 points against a terrible Indi D, and 7 of those were a blocked punt return.

I was expecting this one to open @ 34/33.5, so pretty happy to take the under at 37.

Jax @ TB under 35

The Bucs O-line is in tatters with another one going down last week. And although they scored 20 last week, their QB's combined for just 108 yards @ 4.1 y/p, and I think it's pretty safe to say that the Jags' D is better than Tennessee's at this stage.
7 of the Jags' 27 last week was a returned punt, and Gray threw for 72 yards in 3 passes against a 3rd string Miami D.

The last 4 meetings have been 20-0, 6-10, 10-17 and 6-14 in last year's pre-season.
TB are 2-10 under as a fav of 3 or less in the pre-season, 1-8 under when the total is 32.5-35, and 7-22 under when the total is 35 or less.
Jax are 2-7 under in their last 9 NFLX games, and 0-4 under their last 4 on the road.

No QB competitions, should be a snorer.

Thanks guys.

Now if only the teams involved would stick to the script....

Carolina +1

Carolina hve been great in he pre-season under Fox, going 8-0-1 since 2003...and back even further they are a remarkable 11-1 in their last 12 inside the conference.
Delhomme, Weinke and even LeFors looked good last week, and all moved the ball well.
The starters are slated to play more this week, with the whole first half likely.
NYG were flat out bad, losing to Cleveland, and reports out of the training camp are still saying that Manning is really struggling right now.
Carolina should be too good in all areas in this game, and I expect their winning pre-season form to continue.

Reckon I'll have one more...Will go along very similar lines as smurphy's Oakland bet last week ;)

Good luck all.

Denver -4 FH (1.95)

Starters will be in for most of the first half, and Plummer really should put up some points against this D. Oakland moved the ball easily last week @ SF, especially on the ground, so Denver should have no problems racking up the yards.
On the other side of the ball, Smith will get the start again for SF, and I expect he will again look shaky, judging by his 3/9 for 25 yards last week @ home, and things will be much tougher for him @ Mile High.
Not sure I want to be involved in this game after HT, because Rattay looked super sharp last week and SF are a chance to pile on some second half points....But I do like Denver to be up by a TD or 2 @ HT.

Tennessee @ Atlanta over 38 (1.93)

The Titan starters are going to play most, if not all of the first half. McNair for 3-4 series, Volek for 2 quarters then Boyd to finish off (which should be less than a quarter).
They should be able to put some points up against this Falcons team who aren't great defensively. (A big step down from TB last week anyway).
Tennesee allowed a lot of yards on the ground last week, and Atlanta look alot stronger than TB in that area.
Vick to only play a couple of series, but Schaub and Detmer have both been moving the ball well, so no reason why they won't again.

Pittsburgh/Miami over 35.5

Frerotte to start for Miami and then we have 3 hungry QB's, all jockeying for positions on the roster.
Pittsburgh D didn't look great last week, allowing 368 yards in the air, so the Miami QB's should be able to have some success...esp. since they have been throwing against the 3-4 defense all training camp.
Pittsburgh plan to play Big Ben and Maddox for the first half, then things shouldn't let up in the 2nd with Batch and St. Pierre battling for the no. 3 spot.
Miami allowed 8.5 y/p last week v. Jacksonville, so again, the Steelers' QB should have some success downfield.
Pittsburgh are 7-1 over in the last 2 pre-season's, so they don't mind throwing it around.

Yep. I've just given up thinking about it, smurphy.

I just don't understand....and I'll (have to!) leave it at that!!

At least Buffalo missed one late to salvage that under...but then Pittsburgh miss one....

Just seems to be that kicking is getting worse and worse each year....
