Looking at the Padres-Marlins game

2 young solid pitchers square off...........

Padres jake peavy 24 years old right hander
10-5 (3.14 era)

Marlins josh beckett 25 year old righty
11-6 (3.31 era)

2 guys that are like carbon copies of each other

Beckett opens up as an over nighter between...
-135--140 at home
I checked this guy out and beckett has never really been lower then 175 at home........
240,200,210,185,210,195,175

So whats up with the low line....
I guess it`s jake peavy because the padres are no world beaters.
Look for Jake to throw a gem.....

Jake Peavy 5-3 on the road 3.26 era

His last 4 starts he has pitch 31 innings giving up
only 7 runs and 19 hits
That includes a complete game shutout....

Peavy was able to handle the fish on may 14th
8 innings,5 hits ,1 run ,8 k`s in a 2-1 win

We all know about beckett this guy is real tough
also ,he owns a win against the padres this season

I look for a solid pitchers duel in FLA.lots of bagels
and i look for the dog to prevail here......

Jake Peavy for all the money...........
