MARLINS
The Marlins are in a position to take command of the
NL wildcard race and possibly make a run at NL East
division leader Atlanta, if they continue to pitch the way
they have lately (1.41 ERA last 12 games). What better
team to keep it going against than the light hitting Dodgers
(.257 team BA, 3rd worst in the league)? Brian Moehler
hasn't had much luck picking up W's, but his ERA is stilll
outstanding, particularly in home night games (2.68 in 7
attempts). Brad Penny has bee far less effective as a visitor
and Florida has already won 3 of the first 4 head to head
meetings (+$205). LA is a team decimated by injuries and
going nowhere, the price on the home team with something
to play for looks very inviting.
