Belichek?s stated that he?d like to keep the starters in as long as possible to compete with the Saints first team, but I just can?t see that happening with the injuries to Vrabel, Gay and the DE might make that easy to say and tough to do for a defending Super Bowl team. Regular season games would be hard to get up for this type of team, let alone the preseason.

Should be a monster night for the board . . . or a bloody one.

Saints +3 (-103)

Also down on the Bears +6.5 (-108) due to the fact that Hutchinson needs reps and has performed well in this offense and injuries are also rampant in Indy who also has bigger things on their mind than making sure their first-string quarterback understands a new offense. Will provide more local info as it comes available.

I agree with your thinking regarding NE and its starters.

I read on the match-up board that Haslett plans on playing his 1st team well past halftime! (since they stunk it up last week). I doubt NE will want to go that long in just the 2d preseason game.

you got the right side. gl

Don't like the Bears play as much as I did earlier in the week because I figured the starters would try and get as much game experience w/ Hutchinson as possible. But their scheduled to only play 20-25 plays. Was going to buy it back due to Orton having to step up in class against a 2nd team defense, but then I realized it was the Colts.

Also playing Oakland -3 (-103) due to Houston's QB situation. Turner's said that the starters may be playing into the second half, but the way he said it makes me believe that if the sirst teams successful, they'll be pulled at the 20-25 play limit. Either way. they should be in the lead when Houston's 3rd and 5th string QB's take the field.
