For What ever reason this is not the same team at this point in time. No chance on Wednesday. This is a perfect example of betting perception rather than reality. Big Picture : cross off the SoXs & Cards.

Would you mind explaining the "betting perception" theory behind making the lines a little bit...I have heard about this before, and I think this is a key to why certain lines come out where they do and what Vegas knows that the rest of us do not.

Another example was the Card/Bucs...sure I am a Pirates fan, and I love this new kid Duke, but the Cards @ +105 against the lowly Pirates? I figured myself, Duke was the play, but Cardinals would be the ones to put the first blemish in his record...I think Vegas knew people would jump on the Cardinals at +105 due to the matchup and I think they REALLY got lucky as he was out in the 2nd due to an injury and the Cards still were shut out...What's the deal with that team btw (and the White Sox?)

Great question. I lost you at the end. What does your last sentence meam ? To me betting perception is not that Vegas knows more than I do but whats in the air. By the air I mean the news that forms the general consensus. This dose not apply as much to baseball day to day ,find it more in big games with big names involved in all sports. The bigger the spotlight the more you have the edge if you can look past perception and see reality.

Case in point ,Tony La Russa. Is this guy some kind of Guinness ? 5-12 in (WS ) games. 15-34 in post season games that end the season. Swept twice in the (WS) 1-4 & 4-0 the other two. When the play offs start all we will hear about is this great manager, this Guinness is 1 for 10 trying to get the prize. I can't wait.

Remember what I said about my boy Tony on Aug 24th & betting perception. The line makers change -up this time of year because their audience has changed. There are many who do not look at BB all year and toss their cash in for the playoffs. Most Chalk is way over priced game to game.

I did not say that , I just thought that this thread from Aug 24 th has great value . I have not made any plays yet,but still think STL & CWS will not win the (WS). All I can say at this point is ,the CWS won't get there and if STL does they won't win.
