Hello Kosar,

Hello Kosar,

where to begin, oh yeah, I actually have been a member since 2001 under a different name, but today my login didnt work and attempts to have my info emailed failed, soI went ahead and re-registered.

As far as your comment towards me, I replied under this thread with somewhat thoughtful comments. I do not think yours are. Now since you do not have anything to add to this thread you would better served taking it somewhere else.

Now back on point, it isnt a matter of 3-5 cents, it is the matter of sustained higher oil prices leading to reduced consumer spending, companies slowing down hiring new employees or laying off exsiting ones and prices for all goods climbing.

Our nations reserves just finished getting filled. Our President will open the faucets for us to hold prices down.

I don't like the high gas prices, but I am more on the train of people getting vehicles that consume less. i love when someone driving an SUV ALONE bitches about gas prices while their talking on their cell phone.

Well, bitch, I can tell you two ways you can start saving money immediately and it has nothing to do with Bush.

Hey mjalam - which hybrid do you have? I have the Civic. I agree - prices don't bother me much. I still buy supreme usually too - which seems to pay for itself by getting the car a little better mileage.

have you guys ever had to replace a battery in the hybrid? how much does that cost?

I've had mine 2.5 years and no battery issues yet. I'm actually not sure when or if it will need to be replaced. I honestly just sorta trusted Honda that everything will last. I've had so much success with their cars in the past, I didn't even look into it. Some other car people here probably know.

Mom filled up this morning and was told the price was going up at least .39 cents a gallon later today. The person said she was just waiting for the go-ahead from her "supervisor" to raise the price. Who was it that had betting options on whether the price would go above $3.00 a gallon? Might make it if this is true. However, considering the source (cashier at the Minit Mart), it could be flawed information.

LOL. I paid $2.89 to fill up yesterday, I will watch the price and highly doubt it would spike 40-50 cents in one week. 10-20 cents I would buy. The storm is already moving out of the area, assessments will start shortly and this chicken little "Oh my god we are going to run out of gas" sh1t will hopefully stop. I cant stand all the speculation and panic and will reserve judgement until they have hard data in hand.

Once we have concrete evidence, prices will stabilize one way or the other. If necessary and Bush opens up the SPR, that will help further.

Pinnacle had props up on whether prices would hit $4 in NY by 2006. The payout was like 5-1 or something.

A while ago I saw they had whether the Nat'l average would hit $2.60 (or so). The payout was like -150 or -200 or something like that for yes.

Nothing offered as of now.

Ohh, I was thinking it was $3.00!

Ace, I don't remember posting I was worried about running out of gas. I'll post later how much it actually did go up.

I want to see what they find offshore in terms of damage to these big oil rig platforms that are deep water drilling rigs. Some of those rigs were in the direct path of this hurricane. Some of these rigs cost 1-million per day rate to operate.

Kosar,

Just so you know I'm an active member of the American Red Cross (Greater Ozarks Chapter) and will be leaving for the New Orleans area Tuesday for 10 days, my thoughts are certainly with the people affected by this storm, my post was just a heads up to fill up while you still can afford it. I will look for you Tuesday night or Wednesday in the Big Easy.

Peace,
ll

I added one line.

The next time you are having a really bad day, imagine this...
You are a Siamese Twin,
Your brother, attached at your shoulder, is gay.
You are not.
He has a date coming over tonight.
You have only one ass.
And its yours.

Been very happy with my Monti Carlo last 3 years as prices keep going up. Rated 21/30 and I get every bit of it. In fact many times I have got 31 highway. I just looked at new Impala and G6 both rated 22/31. Thats great for the room and ride they offer with 200 hp when you need it you got it.
