all 2*
c. mich.+9......this is the 1st time cmu is hosting a bcs school......iu is 3-25 su on the road....cmu has a pretty talented qb in kelly with some pretty good receivers...iu has a new coach & a new qb, who i read had some elbow problems during practices & struggled.
an angle that i read pertains to the new indy coach....4 wins or less (last year) teams with a new 1st year head coach are 24-45 ats (35%) since 1990.
smu+3..... this is strictly a home team bet, where smu is much stronger....in 3 of their last 4 home games smu scored 36, 41, & 38 points........last year smu improved their record by 3 wins & have 20 starters returning this year.....baylor is returning 11 starters from last year with a new qb.
rutgers+2.......rutgers has 15 starters back, including their qb.....ill.has 12 starters back, but are breaking in a new qb.with a new coach they will have to learn new systems on both sides of the ball.....the same angle that applies against indy also applies against ill.
under 45 (120) buff./conn......see a smashmouth type of game...conn. is returning 12 starters from last year & must break in a new qb, & have a young offensive line. they are returning 2 1,000 yards rushers from last year....buff. is returning 15 starters (9 on defense) from last year.
under 45 az./ utah.....utah is returning 10 starters from last (5 on offense & 5 on defense) years. have a new coach & qb....az. has 14 starters back from last year including their top runner (bell) & their qb.
under 49 c. fla./so. car......sc has a new coach, a new qb & are returning 9 starters from last year. the sc players were recruited by holtz to play his style of football, now spurrier is asking them to change to his style.....i think that they will have some difficulty in the beginning to make that change...c. fla. is returning 16 starters from last year.
under 45 (120) w.virg./ syr....wvu is returning 7 staters from last year (3 on off.7 4 on def.) & must break in a new qb......syr. has 14 starters from last year (5 on off. & 9 on def),with a new head coach.
good luck.
