The rebs have never been able to stop DW and they won't do it with a untested new coach. Oh yeah, and how are they going to score? With spurlock? Yeah right that guy is awful, and I went to Ole Miss.
DW will run a ton and Ole Miss won't have the fireworks everyone is assuming Coach O will bring.
Save your money, it's mildly possible Ole Miss could win but the play is under 51.

In case you have been asleep since Eli left, your team is not that good. Memphis by 2 touchdowns as OM will be unable to stop the run. And since when does it matter that you're catching 2 points? 2 points? Might as well be a pick em.

We like him as well. We have more talent that Memphis. We had more talent last year but "CUT" could not motivate them!!!!! "CUT did a good job when Eli was the QB and it wasn't really anything CUT did it was all ELI!!! The players have a new attitude and I thing you will see it Monday!!! Yea I know Spurlock suxed last year but I think "O" will pull his ass alot quicker than "CUT" would and did!!! We will see but from what I've been hearing I think Coach "O" will be a good one!!!!

Nobody is better at motivating than Coach O. He had a lot of talent to coach at USC and Miami. So it is a little unknown how his HC skills will be. Since he has never been an OC or HC before. But I do know that Orgeron is copying everything he and Pete Carroll did at USC. Hopefully you experience the same success!
How is the Ole Miss DL looking? I have Memphis for 2 units and I am a "little" worried about their OL. Will Ole Miss be ok stopping the run? Rushing the QB? If not, Memphis WILL WIN. If yes, it will be good game because I think Memphis D will be solid.

Not trying to bash Ole Miss, but how do you figure you guys have more talent than Memphis? I don't see it. The way I see it, Memphis has just as much, if not more talent than Ole Miss. Where is your supposed talent? I have many friends from Ole miss who think Memphis wins by double digits.
By the way, "CUT" was a damn good coach and I think it was a mistake to get rid of him. So, tell me again how a team that went 4-7 in 2004, is a powerhouse in 2005, that can stop a Heisman candidate at RB?

I know you aren't trying to bash OM. If you have forgotten Eli made "CUT" appear to be a great coach. Eli called 80% of the play's on his own. Now youguy's have a great coach. I used to hate him, not for leaving OM but it was the way he lefted that was so bad.

Also, you might want to know that the only reason Eli went to Ole Miss is because David Cutcliffe was the head coach there. He would not play for Tubberville. I will have to wait and see how Coach "O" does, but Cutcliffe was not a bad coach.
i do not know who will win between mem and ole miss. as much as i would like to be a smart a$$, and trash ole miss - i will not. ole miss should be improved over last year. memphis jumped on them early last, and ole miss outplayed memphis in the 2nd half.imo i am personally worried over the memphis qb situation. if he can get it done ole miss may be in trouble. how good is the ole miss qb situation? the game may be a toss up.
howver, ole miss89, please do not disrespect memphis' program by referring to us as a team "ole miss should beat". you cannot justify this statement as you have lost the last 2 years. you were a more talented team with eli, but you lost that one too. it is all about getting it done on the field. ole miss is not way ahead of memphis in talent anymore. tommy west is the best coach we have had in a long time, and our program is very much improved. we will probably always be a 2nd tier team in talent - considering the tn's,mich,etc. however, the talent gap between memphis and ole miss is not enough for either team or their fans to take lightly on game day. i personally think it should be a very copetitive game on monday. i will be there, and i may have a few negative comments for the ole miss team while sippin' on whiskey.

Coach O hadn't even named a starter at QB as of Thursday. I just think Ole Miss is outmatched here and will get worn down in the 2nd half by Memphis ground attack.
