Bomar will start Saturday. From what I hear, a great deal of team dissension going on, and the black/white QB issue may be raising its ugly head. Still no opinion on game for me, so merely for informational purposes.

why would you spew BS like it's a racial issue at QB? It probably has a little more to do with the fact Thompson had a fumble a pic & 45% comp. rate.

Because that is what i have heard - there are4 some unhappy players.

BTW Bomar was 40% and a fumble that lead to the winning points.

I'm sure none of the players are happy. As far as team dissention goes Akim millington has drawn the ire of some of his teamates for quitting Tues of game wk. which has no bearing on how the team views the QB situation. As for Bomar, he took 10 snaps. Not a good assement of his capabilities. He's young and the talent to progress steadily if Chuck Long gameplans to help eliminate QB mistakes. Thompson has no accuracy and misread the zone read all day.

Thompson won the job because all spring and fall Bomar couldnt remember which jersey to throw it to. Bomar has far more upside, but he has a long way to go.

Depends on what your goals are. If OU is to do anything this year it is Thompson. But my guess is Stoops sees what I saw (at least 3 losses) and is playing for the future. Play Bomar against a weakling and get him some confidence.

one thing is for sure, they will improve throughout the year and have the competency to make changes unlike the sips

laugh now, you may have one year to beat OU

but i wouldnt exactly call that game just yet

Coach Mack just might not have a good game plan this year no matter what talent he brings to win in big D

So who would you start?

Paul Thompson, without a doubt. Both QB's looked bad. In my eyes, Thompson was the lesser of the two evils. I now see why Stoops tried so hard last season to get Jason White back for another year.

Emotion is something the OU offense needs desperatly and that's just what Bomar brings to the O. Shorter more conservative passing game is how to bring young QB's along. I know it's a long road and Tulsa's a good team to get well against. They're like a real good HS team.

Why does Jammal Lord II sound so familiar?

Is he a transfer?

How could you forget about Jammal Lord? Solich's QB in Nebraska who was one helluva runner but a very below average passer. Much like UT's Vince Young, just not as "dynamic" as Young is.

Bomar had what, ten snaps?

No way you can make that call off that.

Just look at last night's Miami/FSU game. If Kyle Wright had been pulled at halftime, most here would be saying that he sucked, BIGTIME.

But as we all saw, he looked damn good in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter.

Bomar was not the #1 ranked quarterback recruit in the nation for no reason. He has skills.
