I dont usually play a game this early prior to a game..but this one sticks out to me and im playing it now...as im not sure i will get this number later in the week...
1.) Dallas Cowboys plus 5...$100
First let me say im NOT a Bledsoe fan...as I think he makes way too many mistakes during a game ..that being said I honestly think he will have a pretty decent year this season...He is playing with a coach who already is familiar with his strengths and weaknesses ..and i think Parcells is smart enough to not ask Bledsoe to do certain things he simply just does not do well...Further, Bledsoe has a recieving corps this year that he solid ...with Glenn, Johnson and now Price in the fold its going to be interesting to see which reciever opposing teams are going to focus on...if thats not enough on offense Dalls still has one of the most underappreciated tight ends in Jason witten...if there is one thing Bledose knows it is the tight end can be a security blanket when primiary recievers are covered down field ...(see Ben Coates) ...although buffalo's TE's were decent i dont think any of them could touch what Witten brings to the table...
Now if we are looking at balance on offense i think Dallas has it this year...once julius Jones got healthy last year I think we saw a different dimension in Dallas' offense that it simply lacked prior to him returning from injury...he played in 8 games last year and had 819 Yards ..averaging 102.4 Yards per game..and 7 touchdowns...that is almots a TD per game...with him in the fold from the get go I think we will see a balanced attack from Dallas ...
all that being said ..the chargers had a solid season last year...and i am not taking anything away from that accomplishment ...but right out the "gate" (lol) teh chargers offense is at a distinct disadvantage without the services of A. Gates...who only had 81 ctaches and 13 Td's last year...L. Tomlison will be tough to stop and Brees should have a good year...but i am being dead honest when i say i cant name 5 recievers on the chargers ..i can get to three but other than those i dont know who the hell is going to seriously cause the Dallas secondary any major concerns...this is not to say however that the recieving corps wont be solid but when in week one I can only go out what I saw last season...after Gates the next leading reciever is E. Parker who had 47 catches and 4 td's ...not bad but certainly not number 1 reciever numbers...
Dallas defense was anything but spectacular last year but im banking on them (literally..lol) to be fatster at LB and Secondary and will cause breese problems without his number one guy in the mix...i think chargers will lean on Tomlinson in week one to get them through this game without Gates which is fine ...but ill take the pionts here especially when we have Schottenheimer vs. Parcells in what i think will be a close game..
