Last Year Nevada was ranked #17 in passing offense. Their Jr QB Jeff Rowe 2,633 yards 15 tds 12 interceptions is back and their two top recievers, SR Nichiren Flowers (6-3, 210 lbs) 91 receptions 1,126 yards 6 tds and Jr Caleb Spencer 67 receptions 671 yards 4 tds. Their offense line returns two starters , Jr Center Jimmy Wadhams and Sr Tackle Adam Kifer. Their offense will run lots of plays from the shotgun formation. SR B.J. Mitchell will take over at the running back position.Last year he rushed for 450 yards and 7 tds.

Their defense was terrible last year. They allowed 40 ppg to division one opponents, gave up 209 rushing yards a game (#103 in the country) and allowed 30 running tds. Nevada ranked #21 in the country in pass defense. They return 8 starters on defense but two of the players are injuried for the season.Jr CB Paul Pratt and Sr LB J.J. Millian. Their best player on defense is Soph LB Jeremy Engstrom 94 tackles 8 TFL . They run a 3-4 defense.

Look for State to put points on the board with..
QB Alex Brink at the helm,he had a nice game last week in a win by throwing for 230 yards & 3 TDS.
Tailback Jerome Harrison is a tough runner last week in ran for 165 yards and 2 TDS that also includes a 80 yard scamper from scrimmage on the 1st play of the game.
Speedster wide outs Michael Bumpus & Jason Hill
will be on the recieving end of passes all night.
They combined for 13 catches for 184 yards in the 38-26 win over Idaho last week.
Tail back Harrison is averaging 170 yards in his last
4 games.

Both of these teams combined in there last 20..
*Have gone over the total 17 times*

I think it will be raining touch downs.

WINNER :mj14:

ADDING PITT...

This is a mismatch when it comes to physicality in this one. Pittsburgh is coming off an embarassing loss to Notre Dame and looks to evenge some beatdown at the expense of Ohio. Pitt will score points in the game as Palko and Lee should take advantage of some poor secondary work of Ohio. Palko will show why he is a star, and Lee should get loose in the secondary and make some big plays. Pitt had over 100 yards rushing last week, but many times drives stalled because of lack of protection from the big boys up front. Pitt is too big this week against a small line of the Bobcats. Look for Pitt to run close to 35 times, which will open up the play action for Lee and Palko.
As for the Bobcats offense it really is non existent. The offense failed to score in the 1st half against NU and only had 1 score the whole game, that one being a gift. Pitts D is nothing to write home about, giving up close to 500 yards against ND, however they did return their whole unit from last year. Look for Pitts D to do enough to make this game a blowout. Look for the Panthers to control the clock and win this game going away.

This game reminds me of last nights Oak.st-Fau game.
Oklahoma st not playing well in week 1 gave reason to believe that Fau would hang tough and get a cover. That was not the case.

Same in this case for the most part, there are alot of pitt faders because of there performance against the irish.

LAY THE CHALK...................

LOSER :sadwave:
