Last week was possibly the best starting weekend I had in over 10 years. Posted plays were 8-2 and best bets were 4-1.

As always, we will start with the MD game.

I waited all week to finally make a play on this game, but I am playing Clemson+2. Hate playing against my Terps again, but the reasoning remains the same. This offense has much to prove. They ran well against Navy, but Navy has not size upfront and the linebackers have no real speed. Clemson will be a different story. I see a lot of MD action and think its due to people believing Clemson will be hungover from the A&M game and looking forward to Miami. I just don't see that. The ACC is brutal this year and if you have chance to win on the road you stay focused and win. Whitehurst appears to be fine and I think he exploits a weak MD secondary and has a solid game. Clemson is going to crowd the line of scrimmage to stop the run and force the pass. Until Hollenbach can prove he can throw the football, I can not back MD.

Clemson 27
MD 20

The rest of the card does not thrill me this week, but here is what I got.

Texas+1.5
Oregon St. -3.5
Iowa St+9.5

Man to man I think TX has the most talent in the country. I know Mac Brown never wins the big ones and Tressell always seems to, but I got TX to win it all this year and this game is huge for them since their conference is not looking as strong as everyone thought. I think Young will actually hurt Ohio St with the pass and they win by a TD.

Oregon State is simply a play against Boise on the road. Honestly I really do not know much about the Beavers, but until Boise can prove they can play away from home, they are a play against.

Starting to like Iowa State more and more. This rivalry does not get much national attention, but it is huge. Iowa might as well played Mount Union last week instead of Ball State, that game was a glorified scrimmage. I love large dogs in rivalry games. Take the points.

Thats about it. Will likely tag along with Gman on Toledo and with some others on Troy, but not counting them as posted plays. Going to save most of the bankroll for better weeks ahead.

Good Luck to All!

Almost got the score exactly right. MD showed offense and I have to give Hollenbach some credit, but the defense totally broke down in the fourth quarter. Bad loss for MD.

Now 2-0 on MD games, continue to roll.

I am adding AZ St tonight. They are talented and I don't think LSU is 100% there mentally.

Good Luck!
