Week 1 of the NFL season brought many surprises for fans and bettors. It?s now time for Week 2, and Bodog has posted the odds.

?Last weekend, we saw a ton of solid football action? says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog. ?What made the weekend especially exciting was the determination and heart shown by the New Orleans Saints, who defeated the favored Carolina Panthers for a victory that had an impact far beyond the field. We saw players, burdened with the recent hurricane tragedy, offer a little bit of joy to their displaced hometown fans.?

Led by running back Deuce McAllister, who recorded two touchdowns, the Saints won 23-20 on the road Sunday. This Monday, New Orleans squares off against quarterback Eli Manning and the New York Giants. The game, originally scheduled for the Superdome in New Orleans, will be played in Giants Stadium. This will be the first time in history that Monday Night Football will feature a double-header. The Bodog bookmakers have the Giants favored by 3.5 points.

On Sunday, one key game is the much-anticipated Colts-Jaguars AFC South battle. Coming off an impressive defensive performance against the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis looks to take out Jacksonville on its home turf. As usual, the Colts will look to quarterback Peyton Manning to lead the team into the end zone. Bodog bookmakers currently have the Colts as a nine-point favorite.

?Last weekend, we saw a ton of 'squares' lose their asses on NFL football action? says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog. ?What made the weekend especially exciting was the outright win by the underdog New Orleans Saints, who defeated the favored Carolina Panthers for a victory that had an impact far beyond the field. We saw players, burdened with the recent hurricane tragedy, offer a little bit of joy to their displaced hometown fans, while at the same time feathering our nests with more of that 'square' money!?

When asked to give a hint as to how much Bodog took in on the Saints, Ayre stated, "That's information I can't divulge, but let's just say we didn't give two shits about what happened on Sunday or Monday night!"

Just out of curiosity, this reporter asked how Bodog did do on those two late night games...........

"Well, both unders stayed so low that all parlay and teaser bets were squashed, and the mighty Eagles fell on their ass! How do you think we did, Einstein?"

That last crack about the teasers made me flinch, but I have already re-loaded over at Bodog, and am ready for this weekends games!

("Indy's really only giving up 9?")
