Iowa St comes into Michie stad for a rare friday nite game.Army is hurting big time. The OL is so inexperinced. They can't open holes up for Armys only threat Jones.BC and baylor put 8 guys up in the box.Jones longest run has been 12 yds in 2 games.Jones has 150 yds in those games.Armys best fullback Gulsby who blocks for Jones is still out with a "stinger".Army has no backup fullback.
Dahman has been the biggest disappointment. He cannot throw the ball over the middle. His reads are bad,he under throws and over throws. He has Wr's wide open and can't get the ball to them. He's 36-69 for 382 yds and 4 int's.His OL doesn't give him much time to throw. But dahman's arm doesn't scare anyone. The ISU Db's are so much quicker then Army's WR single coverage is no problem. There is the Pevato watch. Many want Ross to bench Dahman for Pevato. He a soph who was listed as the 4th or 5th Qb in camp.
Army defense is just as bad. They did hold Baylor to 20 pts but the DL weighs 244,243 and 247.There up against 6'7,6'7,6'6,6'4 OL of ISU weighing in at 300.315,315, and 320.Plus the Army DL is all new.

ISU offense has one of the best Qb's in the B-12 in 6'4 Meyers. Not only can he throw but he is mobile and can run.Hicks is a top RB in the B-12.Meyers has a pair of 6'5 WR's in Blythe.
Cyclones offense should be able to move the ball, score and play ball control..ISU defense held Iowa to 3 pts in there game two weeks ago. They are a takeaway defense already scoring 29 pts this yr.
I know ISU has Neb next week and could be looking ahead. But the Cyclones are ranked 22 in the nation.Playing on national TV.There record on on astro turf is terrible. But they should win this game by 3 or more TD's.Don't think they run it up on Army but ISU will score at least one TD on defense.Hicks will dominate in the running game and Army cannot stop mobile Qb's esp ones that can pass.
To make matters worst many cadets left the baylor game early.A colonel had to stop the mass exodus at the exits. The corp are required to stay for the entire game and then sing there alma mater song.I'm sure the commandant spoke to the corp this week.It won't happen tomr. nite.Esp on ESPN...

Just a few more tidbits.Meyers and Blythe.Meyers threw for just under 2,000 yds lyr and Blythe caught 9 TD's .Iowa St has won 7 of it's 8 games so are on a roll.
Army had trouble scoring in it's 1st two games. It scored 3 and 10 and the last TD vs baylor was in the last minut. It's only other score was on it's 1st possesion vs BC.
Iowa St has a better defense then BC and Baylor.Again, this defense scores points. If Pevanto replaces Dahman that is a tall task to over come.He is pretty green and with his 4 new starters on the OL and a Cyclone defense ready to pounce on him..it could be a long nite.
Weather tonite is 75 degrees, partly cloudy with a chance of posible showers...
Cyclones win this by 3 or more TD's.

Just doing this for fun..GL

Still like reading your write ups. Really glad you still providing information. Hope things are well on the Family front. I'm wondering what, if any, Rita action makes it here in North Texas.

Thanks again and I hated losing to you in Fantasy, maybe we can meet again!!

I agree, However....

I agree, However....

Those Boys are gonna be JACKED UP tonight. The home field advantage alone will be enough for Army to keep this game close. This is just the 4th home night game in the 82 year history for them, and so far they are 3-0. I was born and raised in Bloomington/Normal, home to the Redbirds of Illionis State. Iowa St went on the road and smacked down this D1 school by just 11! I Love this home dog tonight. Iowa State will win, maybe, but Army is the bet.

Good Luck , bet smart and win.

Good Luck
