Last week was a hitch in the road, looking to rebound.

Notre Dame -12...basically a play on the consistency of the ND offense vs the inconsistency of Washington. The Husky secondary is a nightmare and Quinn should be very efficient in this one. Stanton exposed that the ND defense could be vulnerable to a mobile and accurate QB, but Stanback is not nearly as talented of a passer as Stanton. ND will get some stops in this one while Washington will have trouble slowing down the Irish.

Northwestern +9....had an intial lean to this one and I've watched the line move two and a half points in my favor so I'm laying a wager on it. PSU has beaten up on three stiffs this year, and are showing signs of improvement, but this is their first road game of the year and Big Ten opener (they are 2-10 ats in their last 12 conference openers). In the past two seasons Penn State has only beaten Indiana on the road in conference play, where they are 3-14 since 2003. Nine points just seems a little rich to give a top 25 caliber offense at home, who are more battle tested at this point. Improved or not, PSU should not be such a heavy road favorite.
