College has kept my bankroll from skyrocketing this month. I'm off to a dissapointing start on campus and hope to snap out of it in a hurry.
2-4-1 so far minus 3600. Thank God Ive done well in the Pros.

Illinois +10 over Mich state.
Think Mich state will be a little flat aftewr the overtime win at Nd. I also think Illinois is decent. They played cal tough for three quarters and came all the way back from a big deficit against ruptures.

1100/1000

Boston College +3 Over Clemson.

Bc is better than they showed. Clemson will see that first hand Best Bet

2200 /2000

Notre Dame minus 13.5 over Washington.
Washington and ty will get rocked. they dont have the horses to stay in this one.
1100/1000

Tennessee +6.5 over Lsu
See this one very tight.

With Fullmer fat ass finding away to blow it late
1100/1000

AR182, article on Porter's status.

Ryan the safer call at QB
O'Brien exercises caution on Porter

Tom O'Brien sounded optimistic and pessimistic at the same time as he talked about the chances of Quinton Porter starting at quarterback Saturday against Clemson.

''He's still limping around," said the Boston College coach yesterday. ''It's a day-to-day thing, but my hope is that he's not out for a long period of time."

Porter sprained his right ankle in the third quarter of Saturday night's 28-17 loss to Florida State, and while O'Brien would like to have Porter against the Tigers, he knows the risk/reward ratio is working against him if he wants Porter healthy for the bulk of the season.

With that in mind, O'Brien will have backup Matt Ryan take the snaps in practice with the understanding that unless something dramatic happens in the next few days, Ryan will start against Clemson and perhaps the following week against Ball State, which would allow Porter two full weeks to recover for the game against Virginia Oct. 8.

O'Brien said he will watch the attitude of his team this week as it comes off the hype of last week's ACC opener against Florida State, which had a bowl game feeling to it.

''I'm going to tell them that if we take care of business, play the way we did [in the middle of the game] against Florida State, we can come back with a win," said O'Brien. ''But if we don't concentrate on the job at hand, we're going to have some problems."

O'Brien knows the Eagles are in a different league, and more often than not one big game will be followed by another big game. In the Big East, other than Miami and Virginia Tech, the hype for league games was minimal, and while the Eagles proved they could beat a Virginia Tech one week (as they did last year), they also showed they can lose to a Syracuse or even a Temple.

''What we need is more good players," said O'Brien. ''And that's recruiting. We have to go out and increase our depth of good players so we can handle the injuries when they do come."

The current stretch is a case in point: last week Florida State, this week at Clemson, and in two weeks Virginia. The Eagles are in a high-speed lane now, and an 0-3 start in the ACC could happen if they lose focus for an instant.

Clem ,your the best but, this is a team that I know like the back of my hand,I said it last wk & will say it again this wk, BC CAN'T WIN THIS ONE. If they get lucky and cover the 3 God bless you, I think they need 13. This team lost to syr @ home late last yr,look at their wins this yr and last, CLEM is a step up they can't make. I don't know where this BC / Bs comes from .
