question:
when a line moves , as in the case of wake/md from wake -3 to wake as a pick at gametime, does that mean the books got a lot of "smart" money on the game, or is it just the regular public joes playing maryland?

I have wondered & debated for yrs why a line moves. I can't tell you why the line moved in the Wk game because I did not spend 6 hrs studying it. I can tell you this and I am 100 % certain, money does not move lines @ the big books. Line makers move lines for a 1000 different reasons. It's psychological warfare. NOTE : Little books move the line because of money not the big boys.

bryanz is correct.

It's psychological warfare.

Sometimes money moves the line.

Sometimes the sportsbook moves the line to make
you "think" money is moving the line.

Sportsbetting is a "smoke and mirrors" racket if there ever was one.

You cannot afford to be naieve.

It's not quite as simple as it appears.

EVERY matchup is a Rubik's Cube.

Do not be ashamed to bet a parlay for fifty cents.

Protect your bankroll until you get a feel for what is going on.

It may take many years.

Good luck.

The money was on Maryland from start to finish. never changed. smart money, joe's money, the little guy was right. It happens. 90 % on Lou Ville? LOL . You back a team that 90 % are on your dead or crazy. What about games like Boise when the money came rushing in to back the dog and the line did not move, In that case the public backed the dog and you saw what happened. It's very very tricky.

I have won my last 7 FB plays, 5 CFB & @ 2 NFL, 3 posted here, and I looked at the % of people on the sides & I asked myself the most important question. Why is this line what it is ? If you can't answer that question your not in the game. I'm on right now and could slap myself for the cash I tossed away in BB ,as posted here. It is tough to be on all the time so that is why we all need breaks. Are we here to win or gamble?

Had 10 teams on a list to stay away from. These teams were backed by 80 % of the gamblers, 7 of the 10 did not cover. Some may read this and think it's simple or so what. If you think that ,you are not in the game , you have no chance.
