Fellas please give me some info on this game. Why do ya'll love TN tonight? Is it because they play so well away from Neyland :mj07: Is it because they looked so good against UAB :mj14: :scared I just dont understand. Is it because they fired Randy Sanders and hired a new OC? There is not one thing yet this year that the vols have done to impress me. A win tonight would be solid and it very well could happen. The vols and tigers prolly are about even in talent with a very slight edge to LSU IMO. This one boils down to coaching and i just dont know enough about les miles. What i do know is the TN coaching staff has top 5 talent in the country and they just cant do anything with it. Very scary that Kentucky put up 28 on UF and you mustered 6 or 7 points. IMO a major problem with the vols is at QB. Ainge is far from a star and clausen just isnt going to get it done. having said that i would start clausen because of expeirence. I have a lean to lsu and the under...i just want to hear why you think the vols win this game tonight???

...because my crystal ball said to play Tenn on the ML tonight. :scared :scared

I just think that with the hurricane and all, LSU is falling into the same trap as the Saints.... (i.e. Read: Public perception vs the vegas oddsmakers) The one big win to start the season and then reality kicks in.... Games cancelled...moved...postponed.... They've hardly known where they'll lay their respective heads for the last month.... One thing is for sure, Tennessee's defense is much better than that crap they call Defense out in the PAC 10.... Tennessee held Florida's offense in check and I doubt LSU will have much more to throw at them than did Florida....

Does Tennessee have a problem with their offense? Yes. But tonight I think that they get back to old school Tennessee football.... Run, run and more run.... Could LSU shut them down? Yes. Will they? I don't know.

Tennessee is coming in off a loss to Florida which puts them back behind the 8-ball in the SEC East.... A place that they are all too familiar with.... (Hoping for Florida to lose 2 because they would lose the tie-breaker....) However, even if that happens, Tennessee knows that they cannot afford another loss period. They will bring their A game tonight...with a national audience and a chip on their shoulder stemming from the Florida loss. There is no better way to put that game behind them than to beat the No 3 team in the country.... :)

Do I think that LSU has equal if not better talent than Tennessee? Hell yeah!!! Do I think that this is a horrible spot to catch a pissed off Tennessee team? Hell, yeah! I'll take my chances.... ;)

T, nice post and i agree with all your points. I just think TN QBs are a MAJOR problem for them. I will not bet on TN until somebody proves something behind center. 38-73 52% 3 tds 3ints...combined. this one may come down to special teams... i see a 21-13 lsu final....GL either way

I agree, War.... But methinks that Phil will put the game in the hands of his defense and simply ask that the QB not lose the damn game. Defense and a decent running game takes all of the pressure off of the QB...and that could make all of the difference in the world. ;)

Tenn 23
LSU 17

...remember, you heard it here first!!! :)

Taoist hit it on the head. UT cannot afford another loss if they want to go to the SEC championship game. I don't think the Gators will lose more than two and Georgia they have to play straight up also. Should be a great SEC game. Gonna go with the under in this one. Good luck on your bets.

BIG ORANGE LAND!!

Come on wareagle, they scored 21 on scrubs..
49-7 was more like it, UM was being nice.

TN also held Fla to 1 TD after gift wrapping several opportunnities to put the game away. Fla got 3 FG's in the second half while UT's offense looked like 3 monkeys trying to screw a football. I think they will look a little better tonight;)

TN 27-21

thaughts from a simple boy from the east:

thaughts from a simple boy from the east:

Tenn has trouble @ QB, with the (OL),special teams, confidence, leadership on the field and sidelines, there is just to much to fix.Toss in the fact the public likes this dog,you make the call. This game could get ugly.

vols have line issues with a freshmen center starting tonite... also read where only 1 player has been to tiger stadium. qb clausen and he's not starting tonite... with possible showers and breaking in a new center :scared

fwiw vols flew in today... not good! :sadwave:
going with tigers, especially like a 1h play.

This team has issues as listed above. I read about it and looked at the stats, can't believe anyone that has seen them play could bet on then tonight. Some times we lose perspective,we get to close and see what we want. So much for early rankings mich, lou ville and tenn.

Les Miles is no Nick Saban.

LSU fans got their first lesson about that tonight. There will be many more before they finally can his weasel ass.
