Kissimmee Vacation

After six straight Vegas trips I finally gave in to a "family trip" to Kissimmee Florida.

We rented a house down there for a week and I'm thinking that I will be board out of my mind at night.

Are there any casinos/poker rooms down there? Maybe a dog track?

Has anyone ever done any fishing in that area?

Orlando greyhound track is about 25 minutes away, Melbourne and Coco beach are both nice spots for some surf and scenery just about an hour east of you. Have fun !

Almost forgot, there is a poker room at the dog track in Melbourne. Not sure about Orlando

poker room in melbourne under construction. No a/c, and is very hot as you can imagine. Hard rock casino in tampa is only a 50 min drive from kiss. Very big and nice like actual casino. Offers sit and go's 24/7 for $120. $500. and $1000. plus regular 2/4 and on occation some satelites for $40. Daytona beach dog track also has a poker room that's not bad. Just low stakes is all they offer at the dog tracks. Are you doing the parks also?

Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure which parks we're going to. I'm letting the wife plan that stuff.

I would like to take a fishing charter one day. Not thinking on the ocean but more of Bass or whatever else is biting that time of year.

Has anyone ever done any fishing down there?

There's also an evening casino cruise that operates out of Port Canaveral near Cocoa Beach. It's not overly expensive and includes an "average" buffet. It's nothing special but a nice way to spend an adult evening.
