On the course!
The only way they were gonna score in the 9th with bases loaded and no one out, was if I had bet on the Pirates!

Ck suckers!

That was ****ing pathetic. Assholes. Bases loaded and nobody out and Patterson goes down in 3 pitches. That is the one that hurt. Piece of crap.

Cubs might be the worst team in baseball regardless of record.

They definitely have the worst manager.

They have no team heart.

Corey Patterson is the biggest bust ever, and there is no way he should have been batting in that situation. He's just not a big league player. Drop him and move on. Baker should NEVER have let him hit.

I feel real bad for Cubs fans. The team is miserable. How they managed to win the games that they did is amazing. I've never seen a worse coached team that played with ZERO desire. Their future is bleak.

I would blow up that shithole stadium and move the team to a different state. Cubs fans need to forget the team ever existed. It is a joke of a team and organization. They were smoke and mirrors all year and the ninth inning today proved that. Patterson allowed to hit was one of the biggest travesties and coaching errors all year. What more do you need to see that this guy isn't a big league ballplayer.

I agree with the aforementioned anger at the cubs, but their organization is a joke. Why people continue to go to games amazes me. They sell out tons of games, but don't care about the product on the field. F the cubs is right. Hope you guys go another 100 years. How much anyone want to bet Patterson is still in the line-up opening day next year? The team is blind.

what a freaking joke...terrible display of fundamentals..you have to hit the ball at least to the right side and get the tying run in...hell he might as well of tried a sucide or commited suicide the way that game ended....if i would have had pitts he would of hit a granny...oh well life goes on

I have to chime in

I have to chime in

This shit happens in baseball, but I am f-u-cking sick of it!

**** the Gdmn, Mfin, Sbitchin Cubs all to hell.....

Laying 2 -1 on these ****heads and they have yet another ****ing letdown...

Truthful I don't give a fu-ck if they never get back to the world series let alone playoffs again....

DUsty and his whole crew are perenial losers and I am just disgusted with the lack of heart...there is virtually no fvckin way you you don't score bases loaded bottom of the ninth except back to ****in back strike outs or a foul out...

Seeing the ninth.....

two of them couldn't even get hit by the pitch. The pitcher was all over everything except the plate.

Like how they kept showing Dusty as the toilet was flushed.

I agree with everything you said. I thought Prior would get it done today but he showed today that he's lost it too. (4 walks in 5 innings)

Next year you'll be hearing about how they've improved with these new aqusitions and that guy is all healed up from last year and he's been training during the off-season and so-and-so has been bulking up in the weight room and looks to have a break out season blah, blah, blah.

Bottom line next year....they'll be the same as this year. F..ucking horrible. :violin:

Patterson definitely has the tools, but like you said - will never make it (at least not as a Cub)....and the reason why = Dusty Baker. This guy completely mind-fu#ked Patterson this year. Earlier in the season it was something like 7 different places in the batting order where he hit. For a young guy looking for an identity in the league, you can't bat him all over and expect him to fit in - just isn't happenin'.

Dusty - you are a tool and a horribly blind manager.

Patterson is one of those guys you gotta root for though - one of the nicer guys around. I hope he can develop with another organization that won't f#ck the crap out of his head.

I don't want to piss anyone off, but from what I've heard come out of Patterson's mouth during many an interview, he's a pompous ass that is getting his come-upance.(spell) I'm enjoying seeing him crash and burn. He's all that is wrong with sports and is definitely a team cancer. I guarantee you if he gets moved, there is a strong chance the rest of the players would not be sorry to see him leave. Him and Dusty are the two worst aspects of this team. Both have extremely large flaws in their character. So large in fact, that they actually affect there professional abilities. This puke Corey will never amount to anything in this game and will most likely be able to blame it all on something else other than himself. The Cubs have spent more than enough time and resources over the years on this puke.

In short.....

he doesn't get it.

I will never put a play on the Cubs for at least two years, that is my latest statement or until they get that good for nothing overpriced coach out of there. they should bring in sweet lou to try and win them something while they have the time.

The only thing I ever hear about Corey is the good side and how everyone feals bad about this kid...but I can see how he could be pompous about everything - I just haven't heard it. You couldn't be more right about him and Dusty being the two biggest viruses on this team - they are oil and water. Corey does need to go however. His confidence is shot and he feels bad for himself...he is a whining baby

agree about Patterson being mind screwed with during the year, but HE IS NEVER GONNA BE A BIG LEAGUE PLAYER.

do you realize that he doesn't even understand baseball strategy. He has no concept how the game of baseball should be played. NONE. you can blame baker for not teaching him and you can blame the organization for never explaining it to him.

what he did yesterday, a little leaguer would have been benched and running sprints after the game.

for those who didn't see it, heres the scenario briefly.

cubs trail 3-2 going to bottom of 9. first two guys get on, one hit one error. Up comes Blanco to sacrifice the guys over and he can't get a bunt down because torres threw four straight WAY out of the zone. Guy couldn't buy a strike. So here comes Patterson up to the plate knowing torres couldn't throw a strike if his life depended on it. And what does the young phenom do. SWING AT 3 STRAIGHT NOWHERE NEAR A STRIKE. Shows he selfish too.

The problem with corey patterson is that he can't hit anything but a fastball and can barely do that anymore. Two years ago when he had some pop, the entire league just threw him fastballs and he connected with some. Now the league knows, if you put any direction, ie curve, slider, he CANT hit it. He can't even foul it off. Seriously, watch his at bats. All 3 pitches from torres to him yesterday were balls and all were sliders and he couldn't even get wood on em. He's a selfish disgrace who has no concept of team baseball. Personally I hope he never plays again, because if he hasn't learned it yet hes never gonna.
