The only way they were gonna score in the 9th with bases loaded and no one out, was if I had bet on the Pirates!
Ck suckers!
Ck suckers!
Patterson definitely has the tools, but like you said - will never make it (at least not as a Cub)....and the reason why = Dusty Baker. This guy completely mind-fu#ked Patterson this year. Earlier in the season it was something like 7 different places in the batting order where he hit. For a young guy looking for an identity in the league, you can't bat him all over and expect him to fit in - just isn't happenin'.BleedDodgerBlue said:Cubs might be the worst team in baseball regardless of record.
They definitely have the worst manager.
They have no team heart.
Corey Patterson is the biggest bust ever, and there is no way he should have been batting in that situation. He's just not a big league player. Drop him and move on. Baker should NEVER have let him hit.
I feel real bad for Cubs fans. The team is miserable. How they managed to win the games that they did is amazing. I've never seen a worse coached team that played with ZERO desire. Their future is bleak.
I would blow up that shithole stadium and move the team to a different state. Cubs fans need to forget the team ever existed. It is a joke of a team and organization. They were smoke and mirrors all year and the ninth inning today proved that. Patterson allowed to hit was one of the biggest travesties and coaching errors all year. What more do you need to see that this guy isn't a big league ballplayer.
I agree with the aforementioned anger at the cubs, but their organization is a joke. Why people continue to go to games amazes me. They sell out tons of games, but don't care about the product on the field. F the cubs is right. Hope you guys go another 100 years. How much anyone want to bet Patterson is still in the line-up opening day next year? The team is blind.
