All of that is nonsense.
I have been playing college teasers for years and I have been pretty successful.
You just have to be very selective about the games you play, and you have to know how to play them.
College is a very different game from NFL and it is just a matter of figuring out what works.
I have done no better or worse in college than the pros. It is all the same shit, just a different selection process.
In college I like to take huge favorites and knock the line down. Most of the time these work well.
Here are some tips I like to follow.
Never take a dog and tack on the extra points. There are just too many blowouts.
Never take a game where the line is under 3, either way. Most of the time these games can be won by two touchdowns and you won't have enough points.
Sometimes, I might take the extra points if it is a HOME dog, but even that is rare. It must be the right set up.
These are just some general things, but you really need to find out what works for you.
In my opinion there are a lot less teaser opportunities that look good in college than the pros, and I think that is what these guys are trying to say.
In the NFL you can tease almost any game, and a lot of the time, both sides will win. Not so in college.
So, you need to be very careful in college. But they work in both.
Like I said, I like to knock down big lines. But you need to be careful.
Yes, they do lose outright on occasion, but it is rare.
For example, this week I would look at games such as CAL, LSU, TEX, USC, V-TECH, TEX TECH, and maybe UAB.
I can't see any of these teams even coming close to losing.
If you wanted to do a 14 point teaser you could take CAL -2.5, LSU pk, TEX pk, USC -2, V-TECH +4, TEX TECH -4, UAB -3.
These all sure look good to me. And you are looking at the games almost the same way the players are looking at them. Just a straight up win will do the trick. No points to worry about still having to cover.
Or, pick your 2 favorite ones and pick 2 NFL games.
Good Luck.
