anyone enjoy that joke game last night? Would have rather watched local youth football practice. I know several division IAA, OR EVEN DIVISION 2 programs that would destroy some of these teams.

Made the mistake of going to Detroit couple years back to see Boston College in Motor city Bowl, a very mediocre eagle team pushed Toledo all over the field. Always hear "they have one of the biggest offense lines in NCAA." They suck! :mj07: :mj07:

Toledo is beter than you think, they were without their 2 offensive weapons in Gradkowski and McDougle. Throw in any true freshman QB and see how they fare on their first college start? Give the young Toledo QB a break. As for the star Toldeo QB, you watch Gradkowski will go to the NFL. McDougle has a shot as well as he is still has one more year left. Granted Bowling Green is not the same team of old as their defense sucks. But Toledo will win the Mac and do very respectable in their bowl game.

You are also selling Fresno short.... that was a pretty good bulldog team at home and like soljah67 said Toledo was without its two best weapons and team leaders. Just my opinion but watch out for then later this season.

Garden-I know, I know, I used to go at it with Hellah about the mac years ago, specifically Toledo. Hey what can I say, did you enjoy watching that disaster last night?

Guys, I fully realize Toledo was without their quarterback, and he has some skills, but aspects of the game completely irrelevant from quarterback, such as blocking, tackling, special teams etc. etc. this effort was terrible. And generally when they play a non conference above average team always same story.

shamrock - i follow the conference very closely and dont take umbrage with anything you posted. youre right, some mac teams really struggle at the point of attack. boston college was actually one of my strongest bowl plays of the season when they hammered UT in the motor city bowl. if im not mistaken, that was my first year posting here. but yeah- the eagles offensive line made toledo look like an junior high team. it was like stealing. believe that was when knight was the running back for BC

unfortunately, your blanket statement doesnt apply to miami. theyre one of the few teams in the country who can match power conference teams in the trenches. they were #1 in the mac against the run last season and theyve got some of the best linebackers youll find anywhere. bowling green's defense is a joke. toledo's defense is hot/cold. but miami's defense is very good, especially at home. check the scores of their ESPN home games the last few years. they shut down some very good offenses.

Mac teams struggle vs non-conference rushing attacks

Fresno St RB's Mathis & Sumlin are pretty good.

That game was easy money!!
