what do you guys think of this series?

odds guesses?

Im not a a baseball bettor on single games or series, but I do take some bets for div title, took NY when I got +180 and am debating on hedging, or waiting until do or die moment etc ... open to suggestions

anyhow, any help and insight will be appreciated from baseball fans :)

Gregg,i am just rooting against the Yankees big time,big hater here :) Tonight was a big win...
Sox and Tribe loss.
I have a small play on the Tribe for the wild card.


I have too much hatred for the Yanks to
even gauge them.

I think we will be seeing a 1 game playoff monday.

Of course i hope the sox and Tribe get in.

I agree with Lowell, you can throw all the other "must wins" for the red sox this year, none of them were must wins, tonight is a MUST win. If they don't win tonight, depending on how the other two teams do -- they will be playing golf early this fall.

I would like to see how tonight unfolds before i comment on the weekend but yankees are playing too solid and they have too much leadership and experience to fold in this situation. Their pitching is not good but the Red Sox could be worse. Right now i would say a 2-1 series in favor of the Yankees. If the Sox lose tonight i might make a small play on the yanks sweeping the weekend revenging last year and right in front of their fans.

Personal thoughts, yanks win division and world series, but that's just me. i hate the yankees like everyone else, but their lineup is better than anyones. true they will run into good pitching in anaheim and maybe even cws, but I just feel they will win it all as sad is it may be.

you were interested in hedging your yankees bet right now:

currently yanks -164 to win division
boston +147 to win division

lines at pinnacle. didn't shop, might be able to get better.

depends how much money you bet, or what the money means to you. personally, i think yanks will win the division, i don't care where the games are being played as they mean nil in that series. but if you do want to hedge you can lock up at +147 now.

i say Yanks win 2 of 3, but wouldnt be shokced seeing any possible combination ... a playoff might well be in offing

Tonight's game should be key for this series. i can see Boomer putting in an impressive start tonight in Boston however the Yankees are too hot right now to jump off that wagon. Should the yankees win tonight, watch out for a sweep in Boston. I think they still have a salty taste in their mouths from last year and they'll try and get some revenge for the ring presentation at Fenway back in April. Ill play the Yankee money line tonight, if the yanks win and hopefully they do, i might start laying the big wood on them for the rest of the series...............they smell blood and they are looking for the kill. real tough to go against them tonight.
