Here you have the partisan, divisive, socialist, anti-capitalists who would rather have your house taken away by the government, would rather have some black robed lawyer create law for us, and would rather look towards foreign laws rather than interpret the Constitution

Here you have them:

Akaka (D-HI)
Bayh (D-IN)
Biden (D-DE)
Boxer (D-CA)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Clinton (D-NY)
Corzine (D-NJ)
Dayton (D-MN)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Harkin (D-IA)
Inouye (D-HI)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Mikulski (D-MD)
Obama (D-IL)
Reed (D-RI)
Reid (D-NV)
Sarbanes (D-MD)
Schumer (D-NY)
Stabenow (D-MI)

Freeze, there are only two judges on the court appointed by the dems. So where do you get off blaming them for every desicion you don't like? And while your at it please tell us which of the two Democratic appointed judges got 100 votes?

And this is how you show humility and thanks for getting a gift pass on a nominee?

Also, without those 22 Dems, this great country would already be in the toilet by now, instead of circling the rim as it is now.

Enlighten us what these 22 have done for this country????Especially your states entry of Feinstein and Boxer--

You'll note that every one of those predicted to be in running for pres in 08 voted no.
They are quite aware they can't make it without the extreme left-Soros-Move,on-movie stars ect funding. How do you think a loon like Dean got in--and why do you think Kerry looked like fish you just threw on bank flopping on the war :)

and since Cozine name is on list might as well give him a little press----

New Jersey Senator and Democratic candidate for governor Jon Corzine (search) followed Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist's lead this week telling financial advisors handling his blind trust to sell all remaining shares of Goldman Sachs (search) ? the Wall Street firm where Corzine made millions ? after lawyers advised him of a potential conflict of interest.

But trustees were unable to complete the transaction because the shares had already been sold. The AP reports that it's unclear when the transaction was completed since the sale wasn't listed on Corzine's last tax return

Yes, I frequently realize with opinions such as these how Kalifornia, such a beautiful state, has fallen its current communist/ neo-socialist level. None of the 22 mentioned have helped strengthen the USA or its population one iota. Most harp on the rights of some minority "du jour" with "gifts" from the govenment in order to receive popularity from a selfish "guiilty-feeling" electorate, while allowing our principles to erode to a state of putrefaction.

As per the SC nominees, Justice Ruth B. Ginsberg, who in most authoratitive countries would have been prosecuted as a capital punishment case, passes as a freebie with no hoopla with 96+ votes (I believe). Some "regular" guy who represents the feelings of the vast majority of the people has his name in the papers for months and receives 22 votes against. But for you twisted freaks that's cool. I guess these "citizens" had to "stick it to the man" to prove some point to the loud freaks that support them!
I really don't know for how long we'll have to continue to pay, as a country. for the mistakes the parents of these misguided children commited while raising them.

looks like I struck a nerve...well fine. Replace those 22 with any 22 you choose...no doubt they will be more of this same majority's ilk...then we'll have no brakes on the car...which is swiftly running into the ditch...

Democracy requires dissent.

Trust me, neo-socialists always strike a nerve with me.

I ain't gonna fall into the "all politicians are the same" crap right now. Maybe when i decide to join a political party I'll try that excuse. Valid as it may be.

I only wish a just a couple right wingers would have had balls to vote no. There is no way this guy Meet's everyone of there believes. It's like the answers they all give on talk shows. They all show up with written script and say same thing. No one is creative anymore.

Great point DJV. To guys like Freeze it is only bi-partisan when everyone votes republican. And DTB I hope they get that Democrat as well.

Good point on Ginsberg Nosigar--In other thread I was dead wrong on projecting vote--thought it would be along lines of Ginsberg--with the Cal/Mass libs plus a few others voting disenting--forgot how partisan the left actually was--the next one will be even more nasty.

I'll go along with Evan (for now) Clem and used to like Biden but after seeing his "emphatic"speech that Ginsberg "should not" answer questions and flip flopping on Roberts it is apparent he lets "the money" dictate which way he flies.

great point....they should just vote against him for the "heck of it"

just throw up a random "No" vote just for the sake of doing so

they voted with no legitimate or Constitutional reason to do so other than the a hypocritical stance in saying Roberts would not offer them theoretical rulings similar to the kind of answers they praised Ginsburg with

my post involved 22 leftists who cannot be taken seriously anymore because of this unConstitutional, hypocritical stance

why should the media or anyone else give them an ounce of credibility with Bush's next selection?

They used the precedent of the great Senator NO, Jesse Helms. They don't require Constitutional grounds to oppose a nominee

Ok, Dr. Freeze, let's play a game here. You walk up to your voting booth this November and have two choices on your ballot for a judge position. One is listed as Republican, one as a Democrat. You know nothing about their rulings, or thought processes. Who do you vote for? Right, the Republican. And yet you sit here and criticize anyone else who would not do that very thing as being "partisan, divisive, socialist, anti-capitalists." You with your attitude of name-calling dismissiveness is not exactly what you criticize those senators for? They are standing up for what they believe in, and they are partisan and divisive? Sure, much of the motivation for what they are doing is political, but not all of it. They generally think that an unbalanced Supreme Court would be a bad thing, and I would hope anyone with any REAL objectivity would agree with that.

Of course, you would prefer that there would be ALL conservative judges. And the rest of us be damned. How would you feel if it was tilted the other way, either slightly or completely? I think we all know the answer to that question.

There has to be a balance in politics and ESPECIALLY in the interpretations of the law and the Constitution. To suggest otherwise is socialistic and dictatorial, and certainly follows the ideaology of this administration. You fit right in.
