I have a futures wager on Boston to win the Wild Card at +400

Now, we know the Yanks have won the Division.

What are the rest of the scenarios for tomorrow?


I think it is Boston loses and Cleveland wins we have a tie?

If both either win/win or lose/lose Boston has the Wild Card, right?

My question.......... Is there any way I can lose my wager tomorrow?

If Bos wins they are in. If the yanks win and cle wins it is a tie. I heard they pulled Mussina from Sun start, Pitching Wright instead.

1st of all you have to see if you can get a future bet on cleveland winning the wildcard

if you can, that might be the way to go to hedge some of your bet

otherwise take the yanks on sunday to hedge some of it. yanks will be a decent size dog on sunday

if boston wins you win your bet

if yanks win and cleve wins you can take some of that winnings and hedge the playoff game on monday between boston and cleveland by taking cleveland

just work out how much you want to hedge

BA, I think you see it the way I do.

Lucena, it would seem that there is no reason to take Cleveland if they can't beat me tomorrow. If I was to do that, I would just be diluting my payoff.

It seems that the worst I can do, is have a playoff, in which case I would place some coin on Cleveland. (Right?)

yyz, I really like Bos to get the job done Sun. The way Cle is playing they have no shot. I wouldn't hedge anything. Maybe a little Mon if needed. But I wouldn't hedge much.

if boston is forced to play on monday you will not get as good odds on cleveland as you will on yanks on sunday

on second thought, im going to take clev and yanks in a money line parlay for sunday to hedge some of it

should get good odds

but remember if clev loses or bos wins then bos get wildcards

so put yanks and clev in a ml parlay

Yanks have nothing to play for, and Cleveland is -200.


I think Boston wraps this up, and then I have no worries.
