*The Heat under 57.5.....-104*
Wow 57.5 is a big number...figure Shag is a year
older...He won`t play but 60 games...
58 wins is alot...NO FREAKIN WAY :sadwave:

*Nets over 45.5.....-127*
Nets will be tough with the big 3 playing a full
season together...Kidd..Carter and Jefferson...
Center Nenad Krstic has emerged as a nice big
man in the middle...They won 42 games with Jefferson on the shelf...Look for the nets to
win the Atlantic division....Coach Frank is 1 of
the better unknown coaches in the league
A players coach for sure :Yep:

*Minnesota under 44.5.....-108*
This team is old...they missed the playoffs last
season...no way they finish over .500...The west
is tough...they will miss the playoffs again this season :flush:

*Denver over 48.5.....-137*
The Nuggets won 49 games last season..
Look for this young energetic team to surpass
that # this season....George Karl will have a full
season to coach and they will respond...I believe
they win the northwest division. :mj14:

*Golden State under 40... +113*
The Warriors won 34 games last season.
Are they going to win over 40?
Nope!Yes Baron Davis will be there for a full season along with the underrated Jason Richardson, but no way this team hovers around the .500 mark in wins. They picked up Chris Taft from Pitt in the draft...so what.
One of there problems is Chris Dunleavy he is so soft very inconsistent.Troy Murphy is a nice player but he gets hurt too much.
Anyway under for this team, same old Warriorrs. :dizzy:

I completely agree with you, that is, except for the last one. Although, I could easily see it being hard for GS to win 40 in the West, but watch out for this team. This is last year's Phoenix... at least when it comes to scoring. They have wings to rotate and run, J-Rich, Dun, and Pietrus. I expect a big year from Murphy. Good insights though.

I'm going with Atlanta over 19 wins
With Joe Johnson and #2 pick Marvin Williams in the mix they've added 2 solid players, plus with Childress and J Smooooove improving, as well as Al Harrington they should scrape by over that figure.
19/82 isnt a lot of wins. If they even go 12-29 at home and 8-33 on the road they already pass that total.

im about as objective as they come in regards to cleveland sports. said two months ago that i felt the indians would fold down the stretch (although they really gagged, surprising even a pessimist like me). the clowns are a long way away from a super bowl and arent even worth discussing.

but the cavaliers over 47.5 wins is a gift. barring any injury to lebron, they will win 50 games without question. the acquisition of larry hughes was one of the best moves the cavs have made in damn near a decade. they should be a legit contender in the east this year. its obviously miami and then the rest, but cavs should be a top four seed in the conference. was actually talking with a buddy yesterday about what the regular season O/U would be for them. i thought it would be set at 48 or 49, possibly right on 50. had no idea that pinnacle had them up until i saw this thread. seriously, 47.5 is really really low.

also agree with mjalam (is the world coming to an end)
the warriors (while they may not win 50) will be a .500 bare minimum. they were one of the best teams in the nba in the 2nd half of the season last year, and its no coincidence that it came after they picked up baron davis. he was half-assing it in new orleans, but once he got back home to oakland, he started to show why he is one of the best PGs in the league. they have the potential to really sneak up on people.

I am still looking to see when the last time the
Warriors have been over .500.I gave up at the
17 year mark. They will still take up the rear in the
pacific. If anybody improves it will be the Clippers.
Lakers are no bargain but they will still fair better
then the Warriors.Yes,Baron Davis is top notch,he
is right there for sure...Kidd...Nash...Davis.
Your Cavs, well they blew up at the end, should have made the playoffs last season. They will be there this season,i like the pacers to win the central.Long season,i will keep an eye on the warriors.

NO WAY IN HELL does Golden St. win more than 50 games.

BUT, I think they win over 40.

I like the over 40 on this one soul. Sorry. GS has made major strides and looked comptetive down the stretch last year. But look at last years standings. Only 3 teams in the west won more than 52 games last year. San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix. Thats it. Seattle, Houston and Sacramento chimed in with 52, 51 and 50 respectively.

Golden St. is a rarity in the NBA these days. Actually a fun team to watch. And one of the few who doesn't give up or walk through many games. Sure they get there ass handed too em on plenty of occassions, but I've never questioned their effort. Ability, yes at times, but effort, not often.

I think you guys are underestimating what it takes to win 50 games in a watered down league. Hell, only 2 teams even won 50 games in the east. The NBA is all about parity. There are no "elite" teams anymore. Sure San Antonio has been the best of the group, but the 80s and 90s teams of the Lakers, Celtics, and Bulls would have absolutely wiped the floor with them.

The NBA is down and parity laden if thats a phrase. If not, I take credit for it.

I like GS and think they are on the rise, but asking a team to suddenly win 16 more games is a LOT in the association.

Not a huge NBA futures guy, but the only one that appealed to me when going through it is Sacramento Under 49.5. They won 50 last year and they missed their window of opportunity. Team headed in an opposite direction. My only concern is that they are one of the rare teams that truly has a home court advantage. Still might throw a little on it.

The lowly Warriors...the team that has not finished over .500 for 27 years...the doormats of the NBA forever...have become the best bet for the season totals... UNDER 40.
When a guy like Mjalam a bay area HOMER says that the lowly Warriors are going to win 50 + games i surely have to go under 40.Could he even mention 3 Warriors? And for gman another homer thats Cleveland style...says they will go over, now the bet gets tripled.
I will talk to you 2 guys when this shitty ass team is getting their asses kicked on a daily basis in the western conference.

Warriors under 40 +109..triple the bet :yup

Let`s throw in the Cavaliers under 47.5...
What are these linesmakers drunk or what?

47.5 :scared this is a 1 man team, if this wanna be Jordan player gets hurt they won`t win 30 games. There are 3 teams in there division better then them...Pistons...Pacers and the Bulls.
47.5 get real!
Cleveland under 47.5 -101 big play :bigun:

So we got 5 season totals and that is it ...all done
I played them all...i believe they go 5-0.

Enjoy your 2005-2006 nba season, its right around the corner. :dizzy:

ive come to the conclusion that there is now a reason that youve been plagiarizing writeups lately, while passing them off in the other forums as your own work:

...... you have no clue.

very best of luck to you this season.

I am totally against future wagering, but that's for another day. That said, I would struggle with playing the over on just about any team in the east. Take the Cadavers, I mean Cavaliers. I dont doubt they should be a top 4 seed, of course should have been last year too. But they have to play 30 games against the West. Realistically, is that going to be much more than 10-12 wins, at best?

Say it is 12, for the other 52 games they have to go 36-16 to get the over. That is pretty stout.

That Warriors stuff cant be right aobut not winning for 27 years. They were a solid playoff team in the 90s with RUN TMC ,and with Sleepy Floyd and Joe barely Cares before that.

Now have checked. Nice research.

Winning records in 94, 92, 91,89 and 87, so only 5 times in the last 18 years. I can see how you would miss it.

As long as Baron Davis stays healthy, Golden State is a shoe-in for 40+ wins.

Cavs should also hit 50 without much of a problem. Sure, Hughes was a big-time addition, but Damon Jones and Marshall are absolutely perfect fits. Z as the main lowpost threat, James and Hughes penetrating and creating open shots, Jones and Marshall as spot-up 3pt shooters...it's an extremely versatile and potent offense.

my 2 cents might as well wait till preseason, the #s dont usually fluctuate much and you can get pretty good reads ... last 2 years I mopped up with Utah in 2003 and Phx in 2004 b/c one could see they had meshed pretty well and obliterated the low #s set ... there always seems to be a sleeper, plus you can hold breath and with that a PTPeer doesnt go down until opening tip ...

Karl and or Nellie had to have guided GS to some decent years, from memory anyway

gl to all,
gregg

i would have to guess sonix will struggle, lost their catalyst coach and some key cogs to FA ... bobby weiss, i dont think so--this is a wally walker mind bender

you have no clue either. Cavs play in the toughest division in the NBA. Not only the Pistons but also the Pacers are better. Bulls are pretty strong and even the Bucks mad some improvements. And you have to remember about games against west conference teams.
