ysg, i agree with almost everything, except the first sentence.
i've been a penn state fan for over 25 years now. i finally saw my first game at beaver stadium this year, against south florida. the penn state offense has come a LONG way since that first game. michael robinson actually had a turnover-free game against minnesota. however, despite the dominance shown by PSU, he still only completed 13 of 32 passes. that's not gonna get it done against ohio state. and he's really shown no reason to believe he's gonna improve on those numbers. pure and simple, he is an athlete playing quarterback. his instincts in the pocket are terrible.
on the other side of the ball, i'm a little concerned because i think at this point, ohio state's offense may resemble northwestern more than minnesota. it's not run, run, run any more. penn state has a little more trouble with the open offensive game. i wouldn't be surprised to see troy smith have a very solid game.
all that being said... i will probably go with my heart on this one. penn state has quickly developed a lot of confidence. the crowd will be absolutely INSANE. 110,000 +. if penn state can ride that early wave of emotion, make a few big plays, grab a lead, and make ohio state one-dimensional, there's no reason they can't beat this team. i also agree that the line seems a couple points low. looks like they want some ohio state action.
one more note... i haven't seen a total yet, but i gotta think the under will be a solid play.
