Hey asshole, I've said a million times on here that I don't think we should be there and should just train their troops and leave because there is going to be a civil war between them anyway. It's a big fvcking waste of time and money to try to bring democracy there. So don't even go there.

Yeah Stevie whatever, it's the people like you who can't find any middle ground that are the problem in this country. Maybe we could actually get something done besides bickering back and forth if people could meet somewhere in the middle. But nah, that's just a fvcking pipe dream on my part.

Well if Bush did that as he did two days before storm hit. Where were the feds and Brownie for two/three days after storm hit. Not just N OR but Mississippi was asking same ???

The exact same place they were when Andrew hit in 1992 and my best friend lost his home and didnt see a soul for 4 days other than some of his neighbors ...... If the state asked for help which the Gov of LA. didnt do till 12 to 24 hr's after the storm they mobilize and start trying to get to people through the devastated area with trees across every roadway for a 100 mile radius and 0 Communications because they were wiped out by the storm ....... No phones ...cell phones ......no radio other than peer to peer within 5 miles of each other......funny thing is when they finally got to my buddy he still had 6 jugs of water left that he filled from his sink before the storm and still had some dry goods for food ....hmmmm imagine that

Well anyone with a brain cell can figure out why that happend ...A better question would be do you think Browne Deserved being fired ??? Truley I cant answer that because I really havent dug into Brownes record but I do know people seemed to be happy with his 1st 150 disasters he had to handled so at 1st glance he looks like he was doing fine . We know one thing for sure The Mayor and the Gov behaved near criminal and should not only be removed but looked at for criminal charges . The Mayor is as dumb as you ..he declared Marshall law without having authority to do so.. :scared you 2 are 2 peas in a pod :mj07:

Speaking of Digging holes GO WHITE SOX !!!!!

Yes many agree it was part of Bushs fault. And then the wakeup call came. Then he started to go there every other day to make up for his appearance of not giving a chit about nothing else but Iraq.

I believe she declared a state of emergency for Lou's. A governor can do that for there own state. Bush declared it what ever the hell he came up with. Then didn't seem to believe it for two days.

Palehose, I am not sure if you are a lying dope, or a stupid dope, or maybe you are just a dope that can't retain anything? In any case maybe you could have your buddy with the water read this to you.

President Discusses Hurricane Katrina, Congratulates Iraqis on Draft
Constitution
Prairie Chapel Ranch
Crawford, Texas

11:31 A.M. CDT

THE PRESIDENT: This morning I spoke with FEMA Undersecretary Mike Brown
and emergency management teams not only at the federal level but at the
state level about the -- Hurricane Katrina. I've also spoken to Governor
Blanco of Louisiana, Governor Barbour of Mississippi, Governor Bush of
Florida, and Governor Riley of Alabama. I want to thank all the folks at
the federal level and the state level and the local level who have taken
this storm seriously. I appreciate the efforts of the governors to
prepare their citizenry for this upcoming storm.

President George W. Bush gives remarks on Hurricane Katrina and the
Iraqi constitution from his Crawford, Texas ranch on Sunday August 28,
2005. White House photo by Paul Morse Yesterday, I signed a disaster
declaration for the state of Louisiana, and this morning I signed a
disaster declaration for the state of Mississippi. These declarations
will allow federal agencies to coordinate all disaster relief efforts
with state and local officials. We will do everything in our power to
help the people in the communities affected by this storm.

Hurricane Katrina is now designated a category five hurricane. We cannot
stress enough the danger this hurricane poses to Gulf Coast communities.
I urge all citizens to put their own safety and the safety of their
families first by moving to safe ground. Please listen carefully to
instructions provided by state and local officials.

(I've omitted the stuff about Iraq). Note, his speech is dated Sunday
morning 28th, but he refers to making the Louisiana disaster declaration
(and aid directive) "yesterday", (Saturday 27th.)
