Value in both of these lines IMO.

Vegas opens this at ( even though every game at StL between these two this year has gone Over this number and Astacio hasn't done so well during his career against StL nor has Mulder against the Pads in 2 starts. SD has a winning record against the Cards and showed some of their character coming back yesterday. Runs were easy for StL with a gimpy starter and some horrid fielding to grease the rails. SD has done well as a monster dog at this number.

Thanks 60. Should have put more weight behind it and layed off the Pads. They got more hits but as the weaker team, couldn't execute like the Cards.

Going for 2 Unders today.

A Pettitte game with a Clemens chaser is a lot of work for any team. Especially a team throwing out some youth and an older cat or two in a monster post season game. Clemens naturally, has done awesome all year. He's done well in games off a Pettitte start as well.

Smoltz has done well coming off a loss. Opposition has scored 3 or less most of the time and Houston isn't a monster road team offensively nor have they scored all that much for their best pitcher. The Stro's didn't exactly break a sweat working for their runs yesterday. Smoltz knows what he up against and the pen behind him. As far as any nagging injuries....

off the net....
"John says he feels great right now to go his first start," Cox
said. "After that, quite honestly, we're not sure. We think he
can (go on three days' rest in Game Five)."
