Ohio St. -3 (-120) 10 Units

Penn St. will come back to reality this weekend as OSU will come in and dominate. Penn St. has been playing well, but they have not face a defense with the speed and physicality of the Buckeyes.

Look for Ginn to be more involved in the game plan. Will someone tell that knucklehead Tressle he needs to put the ball in this guys hand.

Huge OSU fan here

Huge OSU fan here

I agree totally! Defense is just too good! You would think after the Texas loss we start throwing the ball down feild, but then again we just picked a QB! :cursin:

some of it is tressel, but some of it is ginn too. hes inexplicably dropped some easy passes this year. not really a huge surprise considering hes a defensive back playing receiver. but he made himself a non-factor against texas. tressel tried to get him the ball early but ginn wasnt himself in ohio state's biggest game this season.

this game is so tough. i cant get the ohio night-debacles out of my head from the last few years. northwestern last year. wisky the year before. northwestern again before that. tressel is an amazing coach but his guys have not responded in the chalk role in primetime. ive got all the respect in the world for the guy but cant figure out how his teams are so good sometimes, yet so erratic at other times.

but i really think penn state is in for a big surprise against this defense. the lions rang up some points against some BS defenses the last few weeks. but robinson is not going to be able to run the ball against the ohio state defense. they are way too fast at linebacker.

line is low. and its a bit of a shady line too. but i think ohio state wins by 7. hope you hit it.

I spoke to a scout who squarely put the Texas loss on Tressel. Said they had MANY opportuniteis where bubble screens and other such plays would have gone to the house. He agreed Ginn wasnt himself, but felt it was more out of frustration because it didnt take OSU long to quit trying - he was out of them game basically int he first quarter.

If PSU was "older" I would be all over them. But the inexperience should be a heavy price against this defense.

agree on two points:

1- the penn state inexperience will show against the ohio state defense. scoring points on minnesota, northwestern, central michigan, and south florida is one thing. scoring them on ohio state is quite another.

2 - i agree that ohio state was a little too quick to almost scratch ginn from the gameplan against texas after he dropped a couple passes early. zwick put one right in his hands, and so did smith, so he dropped passes from both qb's. but when you have a player that talented, i still think you have to find ways to get him the ball even if it means direct snaps and motion handoffs of whatever. but you are right, they did almost quit trying after awhile

Right side - I know the spread scared me a little bit. I just think OSU will over power this team. D. Williams and J. King are studs for PSU, but they haven't faced the kind of speed OSU has... The crowd will be rocking, but it really doesn't concern me with a team like OSU. GL
