Love your Texas Tech play.. Nebraska has played no one
It is Nebraskas home coming so I guess every Cornhucker in the North Platte area to Lincoln will be there.. Bit I dont think it matters..
Also what do you think of this..
USC -38?? I know USC can name the score here but they will play very vanallia with ND on deck It will be 35-0 quick but I think they will start resting guys and preparing for ND.. USC has had some close ones in the past few weeks and will get out early but call off the dogs...
Plays.. USC First Half.. Arizona Second half.. Arizona Game..
Good luck buddy..
Hope to see you in Pasedena..

of course as a tech homer i'm pulling for you but this line is indictive of the horrible road performances the red raiders have had

09/04/04 @ SMU 27-13 -24.5 L
09/11/04 @ New Mexico 24-27 -3.5 L
09/25/04 @ Kansas 31-30 -6.0 L
10/02/04 @ Oklahoma 13-28 +25.5 W
10/30/04 @ Kansas St. 35-25 +2.5 W
11/13/04 @ Texas A&M 25-32 +2.5 L
12/30/04 @ California 45-31 +11.5 W

Cal game can be thrown out since it was a bowl game. Our performance @ Smu, New Mex, Kans and A&M were pathetic and I believe that is why the line is where it is. I think Nebraska is in bad shape as a team but my trust in Tech on the road is stirred, no, shaken

Good Luck this weekend

just a ? how can you have 6 units on a game and change it at the last second. I can understand lowering your play maybe, but for it be your GOY and then buying the whole thing back, makes me wonder about your capping. What in gods name are you doing. Im sure you will come back and say that you are allowed to change your mind, and you are, but to say it is a GOY And then change is just bizzarre, especially with all the looks your thread gets. You probably have some of the new guys who dont know any better following your plays rather than fading them which they probably should.. just seems a bit odd to me

I felt uneasy in the last half hour. A good capper I know told me about the 2 starting LB's Miami Ohio was missing and how that really was going to make an impact in their rush D. That Miami Ohio rush defense I was warned was not as good as advertised and Northing Illinois OL was going to wear them down and open huge holes. So it got me thinking and I decided 9 units was too much. I still lost $hit load of juice! :(

Remember, I posted why I was putting 9 units. I won $3,000 on Angels winning the west. So I plan on parlaying that into a big bet in CFB INSTEAD of using it to help offset my CFB losses. I am a big risk taker! You have seen me post $10,000 + future wagers. I TAKE RISKS! I posted my exact reasonings. Otherwise, i said this bet was worth a 3 units. This is how I personally operate and this is how I turned $1000 3+ years ago into over $70,000 profit. I take big risks (like my LOUISVILLE PLAY) and I do goofy $hit. I don't use money management. I already explained how I operate! There are no secrets from me when you open my threads. I always explain myself. Whether it makes sense to you or not, I really don't care.

Last night I won $2800 on Angels over Yankees thanks to 2 posters here on MJ's who gave me the balls to make that play. I guess you can say I was chasing. But I really loved Angels and thought it was a lock. So now that Angels won, I have more $$$ to play with instead of being down around 7 units for week. If Angels lost, I prob. would not add ANY more to my wagers this weekend. That is how I operate.

Remember, these are MY personal plays. I don't hide anything. My record is my record of POSTED plays. If I win 1k or 5k in MLB or NFL or whatever, that will have an impact on my week. Same if I lost that much. I fully explained WHY i was adding to my Miami Ohio play. I posted 5-10min. to spare saying I bet it back. I STILL THOUGHT MIAMI OHIO WAS GOING TO WIN OUTRIGHT!

All in all, I post my analyiss to why I was behind Miami Ohio. Whether it is solid analysis or a crock of $hit, that is for the reader to judge for himself. I explained why I put 3 units on it, then explained why I added 6 units. Everyone knows what I was thinking and why I was backing Miami Ohio.

I have Yankees $500 at +250 odds to win WS that I put in before year started. (yes I know I got $hit odds) If I win that wager, I might put it all of it or half on top of a CFB play I capped. If I do, i'll explain why. I hide nothing in my threads and I keep a detailed record on my posted plays. Win or lose!

Remember when I posted my 10k wager on Boston Celtics to beat Pacers. Well I also posted game 7 2h Celtics/Pacers where I took Pacers 2h huge and got back a large part of my losses. SAVED MYSELF A LOT OF $$$ What did I say? I said IN MY OPINION, that is FREE MONEY! Money I won. So I took that and $hit load more of it and put it on the Spurs to win the NBA finals. A bet I was going to make wheter i won or lost Boston. Just an example how I operate. Not hiding anything from anybody.

Hell, i can lose all my money I won or I can double it up. I might lose over 20k on USC to win BCS NC game. They almost lost last weekend. I like to roll the dice.

BTW, the $$$ I won on Angels winning west or $$$ I won last night on Angels, WILL NOT be reflected in my CFB record. But I think that is obvious. But if I add to a wager, and the reason is because i had a good night in another sport, I will let everyone know. Why? Because I let everyone know exactly what I am thinkingl. If I take team A because I like their uniforms, I will tell you!

Posters who come into my thread and can think for themselves and make their own decision. Just like Bob Stoops says he fades. Thats good because he is then up $$$. But I also know if I was ahead units, he would not post that he faded me! So what is the point of saying you fade someone after they are down units? NO ACCOUNTABILITY for BOB STOOPS! I have never seen someone post on MJ's they fade someone who is ahead units. Only after they are down units they say they are or did fade them. No accountability.

Good luck to anyone who follows my plays.

BTW, I lean to Georgia Tech but will not make it an official play since I am already down big units for week in CFB. But if I won Miami Ohio, I prob. would have 1 unit on G-Tech.

Hey Scott, how come you never bet on USC games? Or most major games in the Pac-10?

Short answer is I am about making the most $$$ I can. Only rule I have is I never bet AGAINST USC or on a TOTAL in a USC game. I have 22k on USC to win the BCS NC at almost 2-1 odds. So that is enough on USC and for me to cheer them to win SU each week. If I was a smart capper, I would bet USC NOT TO WIN BCS NC at +127 odds @Pinnacle for guaranteed huge profit. But I am a risk taker! I am not afraid to lose 22k on USC because I think it is a great investment that I was a full return on. If I lose I'll deal with it and move on.

But now if USC is -3 over ND next week, I'll bet my ENTIRE account on USC. But that is not likely to happen. USC prob. will be -13 favorites. I think the only time I'll get value on USC is against a BIG 10, Big 12, SEC, or ACC elite team. Then you start seeing all the anti Pac 10 statements and anti USC statements. Then comes the USC value for me to capitalize. :)

Funny I get called out for being a USC homer but I rarely bet USC games. Wouldn't a homer bet on their team every week? I wish I did because I be up a lot of $$$ instead of being DOWN $$$$. I just don't see the value in USC like I did years ago where I capitalized greatly. I guess USC still continues to cover despite the high #'s. Damn I wish I was USC homer and bet them every week! :cursin:

As for the Pac 10, I think it is a tough conf. to cap. Too much parity. Look at Washington vs UCLA last week. Offenses are so high powered that if they are clicking on any given Sat. you can't stop it no matter what D you have. USC is great example the last 3 years because USC has had a legit top 10 D last 3 years. Look how tough they have had defending Pac 10 offenses top to bottom. But every year before BCS bowl game, fans across the country called USC D soft and crappy pac 10 D. Look at the pts and yards they gave up to crappy pac 10 teams. I LOVE IT! :)

I am looking forward to a huge bet next year in the Pac 10. I will absolutely POUND Arizona St. over LSU. I think ASU will win by 10+ pts and they prob. will be +4 underdogs. (or higher)

Adding 4 more units Indiana -6 over Illinois

Adding 3 units Central Michigan -1 over Army

Adding 1 unit Colorado St. -4 over Utah

Thinking about adding more to my Texas Tech play and might make Boston College an official play. Came close to betting Northwestern but backed off. Michigan and Ohio St. have my interest.

I "might" buy some of my Indiana bet back, but I prob. will keep it as is. I had to add 4 more units to it because line is moving and I am thinking about adding to it. I got -6 with Milliniums free half pt friday. It is -6.5 everywhere else.

Scott,

I don't really think that OU s a "TEST" for Texas.

You mentioned that they have not been tested and maybe you are right.

But if you think that this week is their test, I think you are mistaken. OU is not a test for anyone this year.

They weren't even a test for TCU.

Plus, I think Peterson is hurt.

They will pound OU all day.

OU is really just an average college team with a strong reputation based on their past.

I think this one could get ugly.

I don't think I stated OU was a test for Texas. What I said was I would like to see Texas tested against OU with the breaks going OU's way. What if in the 1q or 1h breaks go OU way? Similar to Oregon and ASU against USC. USC was tested with bad breaks, bad calls, bad play themselves, and overcame it. How will Texas respond? There is no doubt in my mind Texas is the better team. Texas was tested against Ohio St. earlier in the season. That was a big win especially on the road.

But will Texas fold if OU benefits early from big breaks or bad calls? That is what I want to see. As far as my wager, I think 14.5 is too much value to pass up in a rivalry where Texas has struggled against OU. The strength of OU D is rush D and strength of Texas is their RUSH O.

You are right that this could get ugly (why I only put 2 units and not more) but don't forget HC Brown often goes ultra conservative in big games and too many times he coaches NOT TO LOSE vs COACHING TO WIN! 14.5 IMO creates a lot of value! I'll take it.

This is the BCS NC game for OU. Texas needs to win this game to get to the BCS NC game. OU players will be pumped with nothing to lose! Texas players might be nervous and tense.

I sold my USC tickets so it looks like I'll be able to watch the game. Scout Texas! ;)

GO SOONERS!

WARNING! :director:

I am only adding units to my Indiana play and maybe my Texas Tech play because of my recent winnings of Angels to win the west and Angels over Yanks game 2 in MLB. If I "lost" or never placed those wagers, I would have solid 4 units Indiana and solid 4 units Texas Tech. Just an FYI where I am at and reasonings behind my wagers. I'll try and post a write-up later on Indiana because I am really confident in them to win big this Sat. I would have placed 1 unit on G-Tech last night if Miami Ohio covered so I would have lost that. :( Actually G-Tech should have pushed if not for the easy drop TD pass at end and big play from NC St. in 2h. Anyways, I had no $$$ on it but I think I have only won 1 weeknight game ALL YEAR! Pathetic! :flush: I have gone into each weekend on the negative (except last week). Just not my year!

Adding 2 more units Indiana -6 over Illinois

Adding 2 more units Texas Tech -3 -130 over Nebraska

Adding 2 units Nevada -7 -120 (1 unit) & -7.5 (1unit)

Am thinking about making UCLA a play but will wait and see how my early action is going. I expect Indiana to win by 14+ pts. I also lean to Wisconsin, Ohio St., Arkansas, and Michigan.
