The reason Rick Clausen was so successful in the comeback against LSU were the one-on-one coverages that allowed the receivers to catch the ball in rhythm. That gave the offense confidence and pretty soon it was moving the ball all over the field.

The fault for that rests with defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, not LSU coach Les Miles. Pelini wasn?t able to change his defense to stop interrupt Clausen?s rhythm.

Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez is not likely to make that same mistake. Georgia also has better cornerbacks than LSU and will be more physical with the Tennessee receivers.

Game Summary

UGA stepped to the plate in a very difficult stadium to play in .
They won the battle at the line of scrimmage on offense and defense and thus were victorious.

Can't say enough about UGA running game and the way that Shockey played all day. He kept his cool under a excellant Tenn defense.

Alot of flags were thrown at Tenn defense and I enjoyed that part. Brown was awesome and is one of the stongest players on the team.
Pope made some serious contributions and at 6/8 he is difficult to keep the ball from.

Still a tough game that could have gone either way until Georgia wore them down in the fourth quarter. I really believe that the QB controversy with Tenn had a affect on Clausen. He couldn't throw a rock downhill and connect. I think Tenn should find another QB pretty quick and I dont think that its Danny Ainge.

When Georgia held Riggs to 48 yards total this game was over as predicted.

Richt made no mistakes as coach that I saw. It was close on the field goal before half time but they pulled it off.

Also won the Penn State/ Ohio game so nice weekend overall.

I will leave you one more thing to stick in your bag of memorys.
