Excellent movie IMO. Well written, directed, and acted. Definitely WILL NOT let my wife see it, but would recommend it to everyone. It was one of those movies that you think you know what will, happen (and in some ways you do), but I was still left floored at the end.

Hope you all check it out.

Absolutely loved the movie! I knew it was going to be great. Went with my wife so she had her eye candy. I might go by the name of "Matthew" tonight. :brows:

Is Al Pacino one of the greatest actors ever? One of his best IMO.

Armand Assante played a millionaire prick very well.

Rene Russo starting to show her age a bit but still looked good.

I know must of us will end up seeing this movie. I look forward to hearing everyone else's opinion.

Well, the wife is calling for "Matthew". Guess I'll have to do.

"On my way sweetie!"

I seen it last night also, thought it's was horrible I'm a big pacino fan myself but his performance is mediocre at best. As a matter of fact I can do that same quarter trick as John Anthony.

Maybe instead of practicing the quarter trick, you should have spent more time in grammar class.

movie wasn't that good. It was based on a true story. I wonder who the player was in college ball? Anyone know? Also, for what it's worth, I personally really feel the service's gives out both sides. That way at least 50% is happy winners......

Who is the target audience to go see this movie?

GAMBLERS!

When did this movie come out?

DURING NFL and CFB season! :scared

How do you get the gamblers to come see the movie on a Sat. or Sunday?

PUT A SCROLLING SCOREBOARD AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MOVIE SCREEN!

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

I think the theaters should allow CELL PHONES for this flick, so the gamblers can get their bets in! :)

Or better yet, have score updates during the movie.

For example, this Sat if someone was going to see the movie at say, around 2pm, the audience would be interrupted with a voice saying...

Lets go to the studio with a John Saunders update....."hello folks, we have an update in South Bend, it looks like USC QB Leinart has locked up his 2nd Heisman Trophy with his performance today against the Irish. Here is Leinart throwing his 4th TD pass of the day as USC has taken the lead 31-13! Now lets get back to the movie and we will have another update in 20min."

I heard this guy in an interview in Vegas last month - forgot his name. He was/is a typical tout - bragging about how well he did over the years - saying he gave up his easy $250,000 service to start caddying or something. He was very loud, hyper, and annoying. Apparently he worked his way up the caddying ladder until he was in the opresence of celebrities and screenwriters. Someone loved his idea enough to make the movie. Don't know what they imbellished - everything? I'll probably only see it in the theater if a chick wants to. ....Kinda like dancing.

I posted this a few weeks back. YOu can check it for more detailed info, but I used to play softball with this guy when he was living here in Orlando. It was quite embellished. He wasn't anybody you ever heard of, he never spent that much time in the gym, and if he did he was watching others work out. Also, he e-mailed me last week and told me he had a new wesite coming out, which not surprisingly, coincided with the opening of the movie. Check out Brandon Lang. (you know). I guarantee you that htere are degenerates out there going home after this movie looking him up on Google. It's great marketing though, using the actual name they gave you in the movie! The guy that he actually worked for was Stu Feiner and his name is really Brandon, but that is about where the facts stop. He's the one that wrote it, so you figure it out. It's like someone telling you that they were going to make a movie about your life and you could write it, hell I would make sure they had Brad Pitt playing me and I could fly like Superman...........Oh yeah, his name was Mike Anthony, not John Anthony..........He also got one of the smallest rolls I have ever seen in any movie. When Brandon show up to NYC teh frist time and he and Pacino are walking into the building there are two guys standing outside to greet them and they shake their hands, he is one of the hand shakers...........Okay, one last thing. I like in the opening sequence when he gets tackled in the end zone and busts up his knee. He sez, before theyunpiled he was getting ready to play again next week until he looked down at it and he got ready to throw up. Well it was supposedly a Bowl Game, what game would you be playing next week?..........It was a movie and a bit of entertainment, what do you want for $7.50? Three gallons of gas :scared :scared :scared
