Maybe I continue to replay that blown 21-0 lead by Texas Tech over and over in my mind last week....Maybe Im overrating what I consider to be a pretty tough Husker defense.....

But am I the poor sucker to fall into the trap of this only being at -2?

I know Baylor has played tough, hung with A&M and beat an (overrated) Iowa State team. I know this is the Huskers first road game....but I still cant get away from Nebraska...

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Nebraska would be the play here. I'm a NU alum (so you can say homer play if you want) and bet for them/against them all the time and would have to side with NU on this one.

Good luck,

Some numbers for you to consider...

Baylor 4-0 ats this year (all on the road); 2004 4-0-1 ats at home.
2003 4-2 at home against the spread (8-2-1 under Coach Morriss at home ats). Texas and Texas Tech being the two teams in 03' that they did not cover at home (both strong offensive teams that Baylor could not keep up with).
Nebraska was 1-2 ats as a conference road dog last year under Callahan. Most of you are well aware that Nebraska does not have the offensive weapons needed to be much of a favorite on the road. In their last two games (Iowa St. and Texas Tech) it took overtime and a late rally for the Nebraska offense to score some points. Before that, we have Maine, Pitt. and Wake Forest. And most of us know how well Nebraska's "O" performed in those spots. Now, they hit the road as a conference favorite.
I don't think Baylor has been given much press or credit for the improvements made during the past few years. The line came out low for a reason. It does look attractive. Maybe Ken White and LV sports consultants are telling you something.....
I think Baylor has been a "go with" team and has proven so. I will keep playing them until they fail and prove otherwise.
good luck GuRu with whatever you decide to do this week....

Dear Baylor Fan,

First off, I want to thank all of you for your support so far this football season. We are off to a great start at 4-1 after winning our first Big 12 road game and are only 2 wins shy of reaching a bowl! We need your support at our next home game this Saturday at 6:00 PM against Nebraska.

Nebraska is known for their ?Big Red? tradition where they fill the stadium with a sea of red, so this Saturday, WE NEED YOU AT THE GAME TO ?FILL THE FLOYD? WEARING YOUR GOLD! Let?s show the Huskers what WE can do! Get your tickets online NOW!!

Our players and coaches have been working hard, now we need our fans to show up, fill the stadium, and help be the difference in this game! See you on Saturday night!

DON?T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR GOLD!

Coach Guy Morriss

------ might actually be a home field advantage for once for the bears -----

Initially, I thought this would be a cake walk for Baylor.

But, lemme' tell ya'...

that ain't gonna' be the case.

I think this one is a tossup with the winning ticket decided in the final 2 minutes.

When you see this line it almost makes you laugh.

Hell i might take Don Baylor alone against these inbreds if the cash was right.

That being said .. grumpy old bay may be getting a bit more credit than they deserve for once.

I dont trust big 12 officails in this sit.

Pasadena or Baylor if if yer up and have time to laugh at the chase.
