What was the point of that show?

Like where it said the audience wanted "Mother". Who in the **** would say that?

It's unbelievable what you old ****ers had to go through to watch a little tube back in the day. moon1

Mike Brady?

SAY IT AIN'T SO!!

I'm not B.S ing you fellas, I did not know that until I read it in this thread....:mj07:

Seems to me that by the time I even knew who Paul Lynde was, I knew he swung from the other side of the plate....

That little dude on "Laugh In", Artie Johnson, always seemed a bit fruity to me as well....:mj07:

dawgball--

Those two you mentioned became famous well after I had developed my "gaydar".
The others in this thread were all from when I was a young kid, too young to know or understand what they were all about...

With all these fanny lancers in Hollywood...
No wonder Mr. Furley got so much tail...

Mr Roper.. "There was an Earthquake last night"
Mrs. Roper .. "I know, it was the first time the bed shook in years.."
(Hilarity ensues..)
God Bless 70's television

I still have a woody for Jo Polnachek...

UGH Reds, you gotta be kiddin'!!!!! you aren't THAT much younger than i am ;) Reed was one of the first hollywooders outed w/ AIDS (although can't remember if it was Robert Reed or Rock Hudson that was first)

you not knowing this makes me wonder if you were one of the votes for Jo Graller-Hintz (8 total votes) for alderman in your ward.....LOL

i'm pretty sure she has to be registered under 8 different identities to vote in order to have recieved that many votes tho :D (keep this hint in mind....if she ever runs again and WINS.....my advice to you is MOVE, and MOVE FAST. That woman is by far the biggest nut case i have ever known. to help you place her, she lives in the first house east of 1025 W. 15th, and just looking at her house should give you a partial clue ;) )

Mama--

We are actually in the 4th ward...the line dividing the wards is the middle of 15th. Those on the south side of the street are 3rd ward, those on the north side of the street are 4th ward. What ward are you in?

Jen olsen, who lives at 1010 W 15th, is running against Ray Ambrose. As much as I like Jen and her family, I can't vote for her against Ambrose. He has gone to bat for the neighborhood time and time again, and I think he deserves to stay on the council.
You better be voting for Ahrens for mayor....:D

And yes, I'm quite familiar with Jo, I'm afraid. She is always showing up at the neighborhood meetings ranting and raving about who knows what, and she also served with me on the democratic county steering committee a few years ago. Nutcase is being kind....LOL. And some people wonder why I have no use for chiro-quackers...:mj07:

Reds..... we're in the 8th ward, and i'm ashamed to admit i haven't even registered to vote down here yet, so don't know if i even WILL be voting for mayor (but if i was, it would be Ahrens :) )

and OMG, JoAnna is still telling the Chiro story???? (wonder if she took more than one class at Palmer yet....LMAO) That was one of the most amazing things about her... she was EVERYTHING!!

if talking about animals, it was...... "I'm a veteranarian you know"
if talking about flying, it was......... "I'm a pilot you know"
if talking about aches, it was........ "I'm a chiro you know"

it would require talking to my ex to help remember EVERYTHING she ever said she was (and it's not worth it ;) ) but i know there were at least 10 things she *claimed* to be, when all she was in reality was a f'ing NUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she took us to court 3 times when we were her neighbor (and lost every time of course... but what a freaken hassle... i'll have to tell you about all those stories some time, but in no way will i type them out!!) One of the times she stormed out of the courtroom crying when we SOOOOOOO proved how much she was lying!!!

I feel very sorry for you having to live close to her these days :(

oh, and hey, do you ever go to Mallards games?? if so, be sure and let me know which ones you will be going to, and i will volunteer to work concessions ;) (beyond that, i'll talk to you about.....LOL)

and GEEZ.... just about forgot about one of the best stories of all!!!

When the house was up for sale (before her father unfortunately bought it for her to live in) she had come to see it about a dozen times... one time we happened to be in our yard and she asked if there were any teenage girls in the neighborhood. like idiots (and not knowing WHY she asked) we said there are 4 of them right next door to us on the other side. (all BEAUTIFUL girls by the way) and her response was "good, cuz i have a teenage boy that is always in heat"
