UCLA (-5) at WSU
Like the fact the bruins have the fan incident last year to get them motivated. Off a big Cal win there might be a let up but UCLA has shown the ability to be a power this year. They have an offense that can score a solid running and passing game and a toughness on defense.WSU is very banged up, their best defensive player Deirting (the heart and soul for the past 2 years) is out. RB Jerome Harrison (toe) and WR Michael Bumpus (knee) are also favoring injuries but are expected to play. And the Punter is battling an infection, which has hurt his kicking power. WSU has really only played 2 decent teams in the beavers and Stanford and lost to them both, plus they have Cal on the door step. IMO Brink at QB for WSU is not the answer Yes he has throw 11 TD's but he has also tossed 8 picks. The interesting stat is he threw 6 picks in his last 2 games and only 1 TD in each of them. He is not a very good QB when pressured so the WSU relies on the run, which as most people know is not the way PAC-10 games are played. BUT the bruins run defense is terrible and the Cougars should be able to find some running room, still WSU knows they have to throw or UCLA will stack the box and that is where the UCLA defense can take advantage of poor throws. It is nice to have a running game but points are plentiful and therefor the Bruins have the edge. UCLA has had the advantage of playing a lot of tough games at home, but their coach has these boys fired up after last years game.

Cheers
