Ball should have been place on 3 or 4 yd. line- not on the one

thats exactly what i was saying. theres no way he fumbled the ball on a straight line out of bounds. on a play like that, it either gets fumbled backward or into the endzone for a touchback. would usc still have scored? probably. but still shoulda spotted the ball correctly.

I dont think so Jonny, the announcers are the ones who got fooled, they had him stuffed from the get go, just a great second effort got him in.
I was yelling fake as they were lining up, although I thought they would do the old fake spike and loft it over to the tight end, like Marino? did a few years ago.
And speaking of announcers, those two are idiots, they got just about half of the crap out of their pie holes wrong :cursin:

So. Cal
guarantee sc kicks a fg if the ball is spotted correctly and the time was adjusted properly

looked like about the 2 yard line and 5 secs left

weis should have used one of his to's to get organized

no, the zebras got fooled.....I'm tired of watching great games come down to missed phucking calls!! That phucking ball should've been spotted at the 3 yard line and then SC has no choice but to kick the field goal......and we get an already classic game going to an OT!!

Give SC credit however....great play on 4th down.

I dunno...The same thing happened in the Texas/Colorado game...guy fumbled the ball out of bounds while getting contact...ball went out behind the runner's point of furthest progress...Ref spotted it at point of forward progress...clock stopped. What is the rule?

i'm going to change my opinion on weis...

just heard on local radio that weis congratulated sc kids and wished them well rest of season. that was classy after he had run his mouth since being hired. he's got domers playing well and they came real close to pulling off the upset.
