Agent its funny you say that, for almost 10 years you could only get stud games in the casinos

Just wondering what casinos you played in where you could not get holdem.......... its been round since the late 80's, tho obviously not as popular as it is now.

If you boys think holdem dishes out bad beats, you should try some omaha on for size; can be brutal.

Do what I do, go to a 25 max buy in internet table and raise it EVERY hand, raise, reraise, call, just keep going. The best thing that can happen is to get stuck about 50 playin BS and get caught bluffing. Then when you finally start to hit a little you will destroy the whole table. Youll make hands like 4s and 8s :mj07: and they will never know what you have. Talk shit the whole time too, call them morons and idiots. They tilt so bad its amazing. After you win about 400 playing this way you will wonder why anyone ever bothers to play right. I want my guy guessing, I dont want them to know what I have.

I usually play 1 table tournaments. You can find out really quick who the calling stations are. They win some hands with bs, but in the end, they rarely make it. Then, there's the tightwad. He only plays about once every 20 hands and when he does, he raises way too high. You then have the guy who raises out of position. I mean, raises all the time when he's sitting next to the bb. A reraise or a call and then a raise at the turn usually paralyzes this type of player. You can usually figure out pretty fast who the 2 good players at the table are and try to avoid getting into confrontations with them.

The Taj, Trop or Sands in Atlantic City is where I played, or Foxwoods when it opened. It was a 90-10 split at least between stud and holdem games. Most times they couldnt get a game started above basic levels (1/2)

Actually Shadow Holdem is 3 times as bad as Omaha when it comes to bad beats. Omaha is much more of a skill game than Holdem. And its not a river game like I hear people say. Holdem is a river game. Probably sounds nuts I know because Im sure you flopped 2 pair and lost, a straight and lost, and a flush and lost all in Omaha but if you play it enough you will figure out its much better. Robert Williamson has made 4 final tables in a row at Pot Limit Omaha in the WSOP. Let me know when someone does that in Holdem.

Don't think i could ever classify that as a bad beat in omaha.

Also i shoulda said limit omaha, and while it may not be bad beats, the river is by FAR more important in omaha than holdem. The difference in fluctuation between the two games is huge.
