Does anyone think that this would be a good thing? I know that term limits was a hot button issue. At face value, I suppose that if the majority of Americans continued to vote in the same person for 16 years, then that might be alright. Heck, it's kind of what our system is based on. However, with all of the corruption that we are made aware of - let alone what we never see - it's probably a good thing to keep people moving. Why is it ok to have a senator in a position of power indefinitely and not the President? I don't know, it's an interesting question. I think that changing parties in power every few years is probably a good idea, when essentially we are only given two choices. To have the country tilt to one side for nearly two decades could sure change our lives. I'm sure both liberals and conservatives could see problems if they had little say for that long.
