Can you give kittens Ritalin? I have one that I think has ADD, and he's driving me crazy. He's getting neutered tomorrow, so that might help a little. Thanks.

neutered does sometimes work, and so does outgrowing it.
but when all else fails, as did with my mom's cat that kept spraying all over the house----you can get the feline on anti-depressants.
Worked great for my mom's cat, and I don't think she gets it when I ask if the reason it "is so nicely behaved now" is due to drug-induced lobotomy.

Fortunately, he's not spraying. We had one that did that once, and when they start that crap, sad to say, hard to cure them of that. Mother-in-law took her in, and she ruined her house. Finally she had to go to the pound. Nothing quite like cat urine in the carpet. This one goes in the box just fine, he just is constantly bouncing off the walls, breaking stuff, etc.
Don't know if it will help in your situation Clint-but best thing I've found for training cats is spray bottle with water. They hate it.
Took about 4 days to get one to stop getting on table when eating. After 3rd day I'd just have to act like I was reaching for bottle --and swoosh it would haul ass.
P.S. if you use word like NO each time you spray it--pretty soon don't need bottle--just no.

I've got a fat 11 year old, spayed female cat with a bad attitude and an eating disorder that I can trade for that kitten....:mj07:
