just a heads up. another young quarterback might be getting his chance at quarterback in the mac. the conference is starting to flip flop. it used to be a junior/senior-heavy conference at quarterback but another young kid is possibly gonna take over soon. tyler jones took the majority of snaps this week in practice for eastern michigan. if he ends up playing, dynamic of the game totally changes. hes a dangerous runner whereas bohnet is just looking to pass the football.

toledo should dominate the game, but the final score might not reflect it. thats because buffalo's pass defense has been very solid this year. teams aren't hitting a ton of big plays against them in the pass game. they've done a great job against some very good quarterbacks. they held bg's jacobs to the worst statistical day of his career. that said, toledo should be able to gash the bulls defense on the ground. right now toledo is running the football very very well. might have some rain as well in northwest ohio tomorrow night, although the glass bowl has field turf and that takes to the rain very well. 31 is just an awful lot to cover. this one could end up being a 41-14 blowout, and that wouldnt be a cover.

guru:

pope is a game-time decision. still no word. the difference between wmu and bg is this - wmu has 22 first or second year guys that are in their playing rotation on offense and defense. bowling green has the luxury of replacing pope (a senior) with bj lane (another senior).

bryanz:

sessler is a definite loss. gonna be tough to replace him. this is a defense that, on paper, has depth and was supposed to be very good. that certainly hasnt happened this year. the defense has had their struggles. but northern's defense is equally as poor, especially on the road, and sessler's injury will have more of an impact in the coming weeks as opposed to today.

you are correct. kent state was soundly beaten in every facet of the game today. personnel didnt matter -- wolfe, harris, davis. kent just flat out didnt show. surprising to say the least.

ohio was about the only thing i saw clearly today. glad some of you guys cashed it, but the gambling gods were not kind today. omar jacobs leaving the game when bg was up 6-0 and driving in the 1st quarter is a microcosm of the afternoon. :sadwave:

lets make money- sorry i couldnt get back to you. today my opinion was worth 22 cents and a few packs of sugar, and that might be pushing it. evening leans were to emich and then toledo over 45.5 in the mac night game. i dont, however, think emu has the experience or discpline to win outright. if nothing else, miami has a huge edge in knowing how to find ways to win, so heres hoping they pull it out for you.

I personally could not have been more wrong about the Flashes. I still can scratch out a decent profit if the Eagles can finish. ML parlay at stake along with Army. Its going down to the wire.
