Read somewhere that CT needed to improve outside shooting.....Well, Denham Brown, Rashaad Anderson, Marcus Williams, Rudy Gay,freshman sharpshooter G Rob Garrison......thats plenty of 40 % 3 point proven potential.......they have all been there with the exception of the frosh. Marcus Williams will be back in the lineup in Jan.....ready for BE battles.........AJ Price is out for the year...Experience and floor generalship are important and M Williams will Provide that while breaking all the assist records at CT but.....while he is suspended :clap: I'm anxious to see Craig Austrie and Rob Garrison (they are both good) Austrie is a leader and was very well coached at Stamford Catholic (2 state titles) Garrison can shoot and may get the nod at the point till Jan..CT has the young guards backs and the team won"t suffer much early w/o Williams. Frontline will be better w/o Villanueva IMHO..(drive and stamina) ...6'10 J.Boone, 6'11 H. Armstrong, 6'6" 220 D.Brown,6'8" Ed Nelson (former ACC roy.. lost 20 lbs and looks as good as ever), 6'6" 230 (strong) Jeff Adrien.......youth and experience...some with NBA talent........fresh legs, shot blockers, and it will be tough to beat CT on the boards. BEST overall is Rudy Gay who will probably be gone to the NBA after his soph session. He'll score 20 + after deferring to the upperclassmen his freshman year. Watch him get ready for the draft.. OK ..........Who is better?

I am gonna puke after i say it, but i just can't see dook losing this year. I hope your guys can take them out but i just don't see it happening.

Duke rolls..... Coach K loaded with talent and has the
best player in the game with J J Riddick....he is a stud.
He leads this team and I cant see them losing in March.
They got inside and outside and the best coach in the
game....period!!!!! Should be a fun season to say the
least.....

Duke's problem last year was the lack of a point guard, and as far as I can tell, they are hurting at the point again this year. Spells problems if you ask me.

between the senior dockery and the freshman paulus i think they will be fine at point. at shooting guard they have redick and a freshman pocius who is very athletic and will get his minutes. small forward they have demarcus nelson who many think will have a breakout season on the wing. last year he had to play out of position at power forward . backups will be melchioni who is 4 yr player and 3 pt threat. boykin from la who is freshman will be great role player but may not see 5 minutes per game. up front will be sheldon williams who will shoot more short jumpers now that mcroberts can play underneath. he is the most athletic white guy i have ever seen. backup is 7 footer boatneg who is raw but very gifted. i am more concerned with this team getting bored until march than i am with pt guard situation.
